I'm not sure if this will stop the replies, but you have all been great.
I feel confident that all is fine and I thank you all for everything.
This is an amazing forum.
I had a 2010 Honda Civic Hybrid. The engine turned off when I stopped at a light and started when I took my foot off the brake. It had no electric drive capability.
I've had my Maverick for 2 weeks. If I am in gas mode when I come to a light, the engine never turns off.
When I am in electric mode when I stop, the engine stays off, but started a couple of times while I was just sitting there.
It switches to electric mode at points when I'm driving, so it is capable. It just doesn't turn off at lights.
I understand it not doing it when it's cold, but it doesn't do it when it's warm either.
I have a service appointment for it in a couple of weeks, but I have not been inspired in talking to the mechanic. He said bring it in and we'll see if anything is wrong.
I'm hoping someone either has a solution, or possibly give me some thoughts on things I can tell the mechanic so he gets it.
