It supposedly does auto-learn on its own but takes something like 8-hours of sitting off to do so.
Also need to have the doors locked at the same time from what I've read on that.

As an aside this is the best way to permanently disable the auto / start stop system for those that don't want it. Just hook your battery cables to another battery with low voltage and turn the truck over a few times until the BMS sets the auto / start stop to permanently disabled and then reconnect to your original battery afterwards. No cutting wires, removing parts or fancy addons to do it when you turn the key.

I think my wife just ran into this on our Maverick we got friday. FWD XLT Gas engine. She had to put the truck in park and restart at a stoplight. Is this what this thread is about?
Can anyone else confirm that this behavior is likely the same issue with the battery? Or should I create a new thread with this particular issue?

Sounds like a different problem!

When battery is low and charging auto start/stop won't work . I am sure ford put the lowest cost battery and alternator in the Mav .

Ok, now i wrote about this exact same issue few months back, I went to dealer a few weeks after getting the truck back in Nov 21, they told me it was normal and just needed go for spin on highway and I did for 30 minutes and start stop feature worked again but only for a while.
Also i have installed 12v and usb ports in box but whats the point? Tried to charge my airpods yesterday while working outside and no power back there unless truck is on (useless) it used to stay on like 45 min or an hour before but not anymore. And my Ass has not come on in like 8 or 10 days.
So sorry to say im glad to see you guys describing exact same problem , there is something wrong here. Every time I open my Ford App messages are waiting to tell me that system has been disabled due to low battery or whatever. Truck has been great otherwise but this is clearly a problem that affects many of our trucks. And with winter soon arriving the remote start feature will not work most of the time I guess, it wont even let me lock my doors remotely most of the time.

So i guess you take a 30 min ride on highway (waste fuel) so your Ass will function so you can save fuel and the environment???
I am literally having the same issue. My 12V accessories installed in the bed though Ford's flexed adapter only works with truck on. Auto stop hasn't work in more than a month. I will have to test battery voltage and take it to dealer.

Sounds like the battery discharged below 12.6 volts. BMS shutting off access to 12v accessories once that happen is what it is supposed to do. The vehicle should have also thrown some DTC codes if it did like B1318 or a B11D9 code. The BMS will not allow the system to draw the battery below 12.6 volts with the engine off, so unless there is a way a parasitic draw can fly under the BMS radar or something is wired around it, the mostly likely culprit is a bad cell in battery. You are also going to have to have the BMS reset by the dealer or do it yourself no matter what the problem turns out to be.

I just put a multimeter on it. It was showing 12.05 volts. Turned it on and it went to 15. After 1 minute of running it went back to 12.1 volts. Off to the dealer I go.

My Chrysler Pacifica has two batteries. 1 sis for the start stop function. This battery has failed 3 times in my Pacifica. Does the maverick have 2 vbatteries?

No. Maverick EcoBoost only has one battery - one 12V battery - a higher capacity unit to support this and other features.

My A/SS stopped working a couple of weeks back. I have an appointment. Dash just keeps saying its disabled because of vehicle charging. Seems the truck just constantly charges and A/SS stays disabled. My truck was built at the end of January of 2022.
