I think it sounds great! The only thing I can't handle is the highway drone... Previous topics covered the small hole is a water drain hole...
If you at the picture close, you can see that the hole has grown much larger than the original weep hole.

There's a video on the forum from a Canadian auto repair shop that reviews a bunch of stuff on the underside of the Maverick and one of the things he pointed out was a small hole in the muffler that was there on purpose because it's a moisture drain hole. If I can find the video I'll link it.
looking at the picture it appears that the weep hole is rotting out very quickly.

How in the world did the muffler get a small hole in it after 2700 miles. Mufflers should last years before being replaced.
If I'm not mistaken, it's called a weep hole and it's there by design to mitigate the humidity caused by combustion engines.
( I've learned that here by others 😃)

Nice, although for others I'd recommend just starting with the can at the back and drive it for a month first before deciding. You can also save some money and just DIY.

If every other homeless meth addict can cut off a cat converter in under 5 mins, you can make your own cut too, and then just use a clamp, universal exhaust pipe, universal exhaust spout, and universal exhaust hanger, shouldn't cost more than $25 or so and then you can revert back if needed.
nice, i have straight piped Abarth
Abarth 500? If so, just say that, they're all straight piped from the factory! 😁
That hole is there on purpose. It's by design, not damage.
That hole is there on purpose, but its also rust damaged which is why its enlarged and uneven in appearance.

Ive had a few cars before 19 sti had a Tomei Titanium exahust 18 fiesta st straight pipe and a 08 mustang gt straight piped plus a couple trucks and i like hearing my vehicles. Anyways i was getting bored because theres hardly anything out for these trucks yet so i went and had my truck straight piped for shits and giggles. tried uploading a 10 second video and it wouldn’t let me so ill tag a link so you can watch. i couldnt find any videos of anyone that had done it on here or youtube so ill upload a few pics and videos so you can make a decision for your self. Hope this helps anyone who has thought about it! Truck has 2,700 miles on it and muffler already had a small hole in it.

That hole in the muffler is an intentional "weep hole" to allow moisture to escape. It's not a defect.

Look at the picture. That's not the weep hole that's rusted out already.

A bit too raspy IMO. Years ago I had an AH Sprite that had a 'bullet' style muffler. It was pretty much straight through, but the muffler had perforations in the through pipe that seemed to mellow the sound a bit. If I were cutting and pasting, I think I would have strung in a glasspack or similar. Real glasspack mufflers seem to be short-lived, so a perf'd pipe of some sort would have been my choice.

From my understanding from other posts on here it is a weep hole that is supposed to be there for these mufflers

If that's what happens to the weep hole after only 2700 miles then the stock Maverick muffler is one big hunk of sh*t.
