Always a wise guy in the group being nosey about prices. I’d never ask anyone what they paid for their vehicle! That’s none of my business!!
"What did you pay" threads are on every single car forum to ever exist on the WWW.

It's your right to keep that information to yourself, just as it is my right to assume your evasiveness came at a price. Probably $7,500 or more.

No big deal.

Well, for me, a few takeaways from yesterday.

The dealership was superb and the pre-ordering process was exactly what it should have been. No deposit, $500.00 under MSRP and an extremely professional and knowledgeable salesman. (Can I say saleMAN?) :D I thought I was dealing with Tim Bartz, he was that good. The wife and I left feeling good about the whole process. Remember, we do not buy a new vehicle that often like others do yeah, a big deal.

If I need to in the end pay more for my Maverick, then so be it I guess. A couple extra grand, if that, is better spent on the Maverick than pouring it into a 17 year old truck whose days are numbered. Like me I guess. :D

Yep, better attitude today for sure. Hahahaha,

Your assumption is absolutely wrong. When you “Assume”, you make an ass out of yourself!

The 23 Colorado Trail Boss looks badass. I’m strongly considering one. I’ve got a Corolla that’s paid off and only getting the Maverick for the price, mpg and a bed. With the Colorado you’d actually have a more capable truck. Probably going to be expensive AF though.
Any version would be much more than my preferred Maverick, but the gray Z71 from the launch video on YouTube is GORGEOUS

LOL- Then why do you come to a forum that supposed to be about sharing information? If you got such a magical deal why wouldn't you share it with others so they could seek out the same?

While maybe not 7,500 I'm sure you took some on the chin....

True story which is precisely why I am trying like hell to get one. Every truck, Ridgeline, Taco, Ranger, the 3 I would not mind having, are all at least 10K more to get the things I want. The basic things I want are all included within reason with the XLT LUX.

ummm…only 30 days in September.

I don’t disclose financial information. The agreed upon price was between the dealer and I.
I do I have $32 in my wallet, and about 3/4 of a paycheck in the bank, around $1000. Get paid next week so more coming. Also have little bits squirreled away here and there for the downpayment on the Mav and the ARE topper. Our Granger deal is currently at $27,500ish for a FX4K

And I'm glad they are because it helps me know what to expect and what is fair.

Not sharing how much you pay, especially on an anonymous forum that doesn't require real names, only benefits the dealers not the consumers.

That may be true, but what about the 2.9% Incentive program that started on July 28 - September 5? Looks like we are losing that as the order banks do not open until after the cutoff date. Maybe Ford will extend that for the Maverick buyers but who is going to hold their breath for that?

Interest rates went up yesterday and are expected to go up again in September.
I just found out this morning my hybrid is going into production september 12 and oct 15 delivery. I orignally ordered sep 2021. What is this incentive program you are talking about and would i still be able to use it?

First off, congrats on your good news.

The incentive program announced by Ford was 2.9% on most vehicles EXCEPT Maverick hybrid. It is running from July 28 - September 5. i am getting an EB so it did apply but expires before the Order Banks open unless ford pushes the date up to before Sept. 5.

No, but that is not the point. Over 60 months that is 600 bucks. Do you like giving away 600 bucks of your hard earned money due to incompetence? I dunno, maybe your money comes easier to you than it does to me. If it does and you enjoy giving it away, throw some my way, chief.

Just remember something else. This is an open forum, I have just as much right to my opinion as you do yours. If you disagree with it, tough noogies.
Maybe you got that all wrong. If they build more 22s then the lucky folks can use the price protected 0% for Deal. Think bigger not small.

I’m pretty sure 23 production won’t be starting in October anymore with orders being placed in mid-September. Scheduling was supposed to start in September. This all sounds like them pushing the 23 start back to accommodate finishing 22 orders. There will be more to this story……guaranteed.
Agreed! Just one more week of production could equal 500 less "private offers". Also the factory could have said that they can't do a 3 day turn around for MY23 production. By moving ordering to Sept. 15 they can better put all their ducks in a row. Less wait times for new MY23 orders.
