Seems like @2022EOW's question about why you did it is still valid.

After all, you could have traded in your other vehicle (apparently worth more than the Maverick) at the time you took possession of new one. The effect on sales tax would have been the same, and you would have had the use of the other vehicle for several months.

Sound like maybe the reason for doing it was something like "I didn't really need the other vehicle and I thought I could get a better price for it now (or I was afraid it would break down, or I didn't want to insure it for a few more months, or whatever)."

Those would be good reasons, but they don't have much to do with avoiding sales tax.
Didn’t need it and the dealer paid me way more than sticker price for it. 2020 F250 7.3l with 1,000 miles on it. Not often you can feel good leaving a dealer. The market is upside down and didn’t want to miss the chance. The F250 wasn’t enough for my needs. Probably getting a Kenworth.

Well looks like mt Lariat isn’t getting any love this week
But your signature says you have a build date of 10/25...that's more love than many of us can claim.

If you'll check his signature closely you'll see that he has 2 Mavericks on order.

Seeing as how it's rare that hybrids with lux packages are getting scheduled, the optimist in me thinks that one of the coming weeks will have a crapload of hybrid lux models being built. Optimal efficiency.
Or they could just really infuriate us and shift to scheduling to First Editions.

Why settle for a Kenworth? Why not get one of these?

Lol…looking for a large box truck that will fit a car and be able to tow an enclosed car hauler at the same time.

Good info, but not very many scheduled. That's sad.
