In the words or Charlie Brown, ‘I got a rock.’ I ordered my white, hybrid XLT per my medium-sized Ford dealer in the Los Angeles area on September 16 and I got nada to show for it. The dealer said, ‘Keep your order simple and you will get built sooner.’ I wish I would have added the accessories and extras I really wanted as many of you received the golden email yesterday. The encouraged strategy has gotten me nowhere. Ugh!

Don't lose heart -- I did the same, a hybrid HPR, nothing else, on the same logic that it would get me scheduled sooner/soonest. It didn't -- I just got scheduled yesterday, after 8 months. You'll drive yourself crazy playing the head game of who got scheduled with what configuration, could I have/should I have....nothing to be gained there. As Commodore and others say on repeat: It's allocations, allocations, allocations. On a positive note, Ford's waaay ahead in producing hybrids than what any of us thought they'd be. I'm still not sure every hybrid will get produced, but a whole heckuva lot more of us that we thought will be. Hang in there (yes, easy for me to say now that I'm scheduled -- it was despair Wednesday/exhiliration Thursday, but that's how this works).

Thanks for the optimism. Just spoke to Ford and they said ‘It’s a clean, unscheduled order and the production team did look at this order a few weeks ago.’ Fingers crossed and a few adult beverages and I’ll be fine.

Currently calculating roughly 35% of hybrid orders not being built by model year end. Which is a fair better than the beginning of the year when it looked like Ford wouldn't be able to build 51% of hybrid orders.

My advice: if you really want a Maverick and your MY23 order isn't scheduled by the time MY24 order banks open, go ahead and place a MY24 order and demand your MY24 be put as Priority 10. If your MY23 somehow gets scheduled at the last minute, you can still cancel your MY24 order.

Demand its priority is above all other new customers to the MY24 whatever the number is.

Got the letter for wife's Maverick:
  • ⏰ Email received 9:54 am CST
  • 📅 Scheduled week of July 17, 2023
  • 🔢 Vin: PRA720XX
  • 🛻 Cyber Orange Lariat Hybrid, Lux, CP360+Assist, BAP, SIBL + D Link Rails
  • 📍 East Tennessee
  • 🗓 Ordered 09/19/2022
  • 🕺 Ted Russell Ford, Knoxville, TN
But we're dang it, she probably is not going to want it, because she doesn't want "matching" Mavericks... Apparently, our request to change the color to Cactus Gray did not get done... She may just keep the '22 Area 51 instead. Some lucky UT Volunteer fan is going to be very happy to get a Cyber Orange Maverick!
Myself and many others have changed the color after being scheduled.

As of right now, assuming that your current vehicle can handle the extra time and you still want a Maverick... cross your fingers it does not get scheduled over the next couple months before the Order Banks open back up. (that's my $0.02)

First off talk to your dealer and see if they will prioritize the orders that did not get built from this past year ahead of all the other orders that will be placed as well. If they will, then place the 24 Maverick with the options you wanted at that dealer. Currently my dealer will be doing that (or the sales manager told me that's what they are planning to do). There is only a small list of items that are currently "constraints" so most things you would want to add should be ok, and you would be ahead of the majority at the dealership then if they will prioritize, so the wait may end up being a few months longer/start of 2024.

I am kind of hoping mine doesn't get scheduled this year for a couple small reasons. First is in case there are small changes/new options the 24MY may have (maybe new exterior colors, interior colors/fabrics), maybe fog lights...etc. (There should not be any major changes). But the largest (yet trivial) issue to me is the fact that if over the next month or so mine does get scheduled, I would be getting a "brand new" vehicle delivered around November/December...literally right before the year turns to 2024... in which to me doesn't feel like it would be a brand new vehicle then, vs a leftover.

But each person has their own needs/wants/etc. But I already waited this long and still may not get my vehicle built by the end of the year, might as well see if there are any other changes that may come with the 2024 and will be prioritized to the front of the line at my dealaership... and get an actual brand new 2024 in 2024. Just my views/$0.02

I recall Tim Bartz saying something about you can still change the color after getting your schedule date, before it goes into production. Try again with your dealer.

i was asking my dealer about color change before i got my scheduled email. Rep said price/rebate might change and order date might change.

Im going to ask them again. My build date is July 24 and I would like to change from Area 51 to Atlas blue.
