Forscan is the software program the Maverick runs on. Similar to like Windows 11 on a computer, Windows has preset things in place. Screen brightness, how long to keep a screen on after someone has stop using the computer, etc.

Forscan has preset levels that tells the computer how to charge the battery, how long to keep interior lights on in the truck after shutdown, whether to have the horn twice after locking you truck with two pushes of your Fob buttone, etc.

Going into Forscan and adjusting the charge rate of the 12v battery from 80% to 95% would keep your batter level highet for longer periods of time.

Hope this helps
Thank you. MY 2024 hybrid is in battery saver mode now. I checked with volt meter shows 12 volts. My 22 ECO went into battery saver when I was away for 2 weeks, and started no problem when I got home. Two different charging systems.

My 2022 Maverick had the problem a couple of times with the app also. Notification showed up in app messages but I never experienced a problem with starting or leaving me stranded. Decided to take the advise from some here and deleted the app as it seems the app itself might be causing the problems. Haven't looked back and have parked it at the house while on a couple week's vacation and left at the airport parking for 14 days without battery problems. Thought about hooking up a trickle charger but never have or needed to.
You say that your Escape and Fusion never had the problems. You didn't mention if they are hybrids and are they on the app (newer models obviously). I had a 2008 Escape and 2013 Cmax hybrids and never had any problems with the batteries (pre app days of course). As a matter of fact, the 12 volt batteries lasted longer than on my non hybrid cars.
When it slept were all of your cabin and dashboard lights out also?

We're your dashboard and cabin lights all out when entering vehicle in sleep mode?

I have a 2023 XLT. I parked it in the garage for 4 months last winter with 700 miles on it. When I got home in the spring, it started right up. Recently it started going into Deep Sleep. I had to jump start it twice. Took it to dealership. They checked battery, etc. Charged battery and sent me home. Told me to drive it more. I drive it almost every day. Two more jump starts since. What kind of car company expects you to charge your new car and jump start it as necessary?
Were your dashboard and cabin lights all out when entering vehicle when in sleep mode?

I trickle charge my battery weekly just so I don't have to be annoyed by the battery saver alert.. Sucks but it's less annoying

I'm having this same problem now too. Drove it yesterday. Today it's in battery saver mode. The giveaway is that the cabin lights and dash don't light up when I open the door.

For today when it started, opened one door, lights on, closed door. Moved over to the passenger side, opened the door, heard a quiet but audible "pop" through the speakers, and no lights on this time. Dash and center console also stayed dark.

Took it into the dealership a week ago. They "topped off the battery" and said it was fine. It's going back again this week.

I know some people spoke of pulling a fuse, and some people maybe need the app functions, but I'm on about a month now since removing the truck from the app and haven't had a dark cabin or needed a jump start. The ssm says the problem is the app, but I believe until next issue that the app was causing the truck to go dark or drain battery(at least the truck thought battery was drained). Hoping the good luck continues.

My truck spent a week in the shop. They sent it to the electrical department. They said it was the anti-theft alarm control module (or something like that to do with anti-theft). Fixed under warranty.

The truck then sat in my garage for 2 days over Christmas. This morning, I open the door, hear the "pop" and the cabin goes dark. NOT fixed.

If it was the battery, they didn't address it or look at it.

Back to the shop...again...

One last datapoint. I bought a battery tester. It has plenty of CCA, health measured at 91%. Charge: 0% (11.9V). So, I appear to have the parasitic power drain problem awaiting a Q1 2025 update.

It tells the BMS you have a new battery, which updates a stored data value for days in use. Calculations for charging use that figure.
It also tells the system it's a fully charged battery.

With telling the system here's a new battery, the next time it relearns (reference in your manual), it's also going to change it's set points for when to go into battery saver mode, or deep sleep mode.
If it wasn't fully charged, you may see the future problem here.

If say you were actually at 50% SOC, but then reset, that SOC has now been put as the 100% level. But it's really not.
So charging to max 65-80% means you are killing your battery faster.
Which actually may be a good way to get another battery faster!

Probably something is messing with the alarm module, like a sensor is bad, and that causes the module to run at some higher power level way longer than intended.

Have you tested if the alarm actually does go off doing any of the actions to cause it?
Be kind of wild if messed up sensor, and the alarm is called for but doesn't actually go off.

Your profile vehicle description doesn't mention what trim, so if XL/XLT with non-keyless entry, opening the door with key instead of remote should kick it off in 10 seconds.

HOW DOES THE ANTI-THEFT ALARM SYSTEM WORK

When armed, the anti-theft alarm is triggered in any of the following ways:
  • If someone opens a door, the liftgate or the hood without a correctly coded key or remote control.
  • If you turn the power on without a correctly coded key.
  • If the interior sensors detect movement inside your vehicle.
  • If the inclination sensors detect an attempt to raise your vehicle.
  • If someone disconnects your vehicle's 12V battery or the battery backup alarm.
If the anti-theft alarm is triggered, the alarm horn sounds for 30 seconds and the turn signals flash for 5 minutes.
Any further attempts to carry out one of the above sounds the alarm again.

Decided I’ve had enough. I can’t see anything in the truck when I open it up in the garage. Between that and the Bluetooth that still drops despite multiple “fixes”, I’m gonna sell it.

What fixes have you done? Does this include purchasing an AGM 12 volt battery?

Went to the dealer with the Battery Saver problem today (since Christmas it's become more frequent). They did tests on the original battery...it failed the Rotunda test, and indicated replacement was needed.

New battery was installed, I believe it is the AGM type, 36 month replacement warranty (7 year pro-rated warranty).

They also provided me with a copy of SSM 53087, which Ford is claiming to have a fix sometime the first quarter of this year.

We'll see how things go from here.
