Nowhere in the bulletin does it say anything other than battery saver perimeters at 9.5v which was the whole point. I didn't write the F’ing thing FORD did, wtf is your beef with me?
I don’t have a beef with you; just trying to help.

That Service bulletin and others on the same topic are not written very well and Ford’s Response and lack of a solution to this problem is Not what one would expect from them.

Please use the ignore button if you don’t wish to see my responses.

It might be that you are not charging it around the Black "block" BMS battery sensor on the negative battery cable, so the Maverick is not sensing your charge. Connect the negative cable of the charger to where the negative cable attaches to body ground. Or it could be that you app is just taking time to update to the latest battery level, or your phone is reacting to an old notification.
I have a permanent charger cable attached to the designated terminals in the engine bay for that purpose. I have no doubt that there is a communication issue with the FordPass app based on my experience with SYNC3 and FORD servers that somehow are telling me my updates are dissabled and Automatic Updates are turned off as well as Connected Services. Both have always been on so there is a communication issue there as well.

Mine is a daily driver, so it’s not low use and I still swapped it to an AGM because of this issue. For most of us typically starts six months after ownership.
For me is started a month after getting it, there doesn't seem to be any set amount of time, and I use it to drive to work regularly as well.

Mine says this too. I have made sure the updates are on in the truck.

Not Exactly..........
While EFBs are an improvement over traditional flooded auto batteries, AGM batteries outperform enhanced flooded batteries. For starters, AGM batteries provide more electrical energy than an EFB can and recharge up to five times faster. An AGM battery will also typically last two to three times longer than a flooded battery, with an average lifespan of five to eight years. Plus, they're much better at standing up to the negative impact of vibrations and extreme weather. On the downside, an AGM battery will cost you more upfront than an EFB, however, since they last longer, an AGM battery will probably end up saving you money in the long run. In addition, AGM batteries have much longer warranties.
To Ford they are the same..I know the difference. They don't. Lol

Lately I have noticed that the bed lights I wired in to the FlexBed connector lose power as soon as the truck is turned off; it used to be live for 30 minutes or so. Ditto the 12v port on the dash. ('24 XLT hybrid, built December 23).
Also I have gotten the battery warning twice now. I kind of assume they're related issues?
Worth bringing to the dealer for?

I never had an issue with driving but was concerned and annoyed with the messages that are now seemingly inaccurate based on my voltage tests after the message is received. I use FordPass for other things so have no plan to delete it and now I just ignore the messages and occasionally hook it up to a NOCO. If I ever have a starting issue I will just replace the battery with an AGM.
I replaced the original battery with an AGM and still get the warning. I really think the issue is driving time not the type of battery you have, at least for me.

I wish that was the case. I'm calling today to schedule service. I drive 100 miles a day, 90% highway and am getting the same messages. Sometimes within minutes of locking my truck at work after driving 50 miles.

If you have a 12 v battery at 9.5 Volts it is stone cold dead!
At the very least needs to be removed from vehicle and placed on maintainer for six weeks or so. Maybe even a "repair" cycle. Best to just replace it. Particularly it Ford has finally got some AGM in hybrid size. Post about them replacing with it is very recent and must have happened very recently. Maybe some dealers haven't seen that memo yet.

Pretty sure that 50% SOC is not the version based on mere resting V you can find in tables, but rather their BECM SOC which is based on a few other values in a formula.
And leaves much to be desired for accuracy I'd wager.

Also not always dead, could be sitting for too long - starting could be a problem so start cutting out battery draws then.

Interesting 9.5 V must be enough to send out 1 last message from from truck modem it's going to deep sleep.
Would be interesting to see what is hit 1st - 14 days no driving, or dropping to those battery levels after constant communication. Surprised it could hit 14 days actually. Perhaps in great ATT cell coverage.
In the past some have posted seeing as low as 6 volts. Also consider (most, all?) cpu's like 5v just fine.

That is a sign the voltage seen by BECM is lower than desired so those extra power draws are cut off earlier and earlier.

So that's exactly why it would go into sleep mode and warn you of such - to retain battery even more.

You should measure your own voltage some morning - because unless battery tests as bad (and that slow progression doesn't really fit a bad battery, just failing one), they are just likely going to say it's low and you need to drive more.
But if you really are reading below 12 V so you know they would too - perhaps worth the waste of time.
Of course the mere act of driving it in probably kick it above 12, so need to drop off overnight.

The battery shows fully charged when I take it off the charger.

Did this inhibit your ability to drive the vehicle like you normally would or are you just concerned because you got a message in FP?
No, I drive it as I normally do. It has never failed to start. However, I do not have the courtesy lights come on when I open the door when it is battery saver mode. It is just annoying. My '04 Merc could be nearly dead but after a 15-30 minute drive the alternator would have it recharged. I have driven this one over 100 miles and still have the battery saver mode warning.
