I had the same thought, I researched and found the lariat front handle will work in the back (only difference is the slot for the ambient light). But the ambient lights themselves are $40 and $43. I'm going to buy small ice blue LEDs from Amazon someone else mentioned on another thread have the...
I wish that was the case. I'm calling today to schedule service. I drive 100 miles a day, 90% highway and am getting the same messages. Sometimes within minutes of locking my truck at work after driving 50 miles.
Still driving it a couple days a week. 2011 Fiesta 5spd with 269,000 on the clock. Only ever done routine maintenance on it and water pump and timing belt @150,000. Still has the CV axles for the day I drove it off the lot with minimal clicking. Checked rear brakes about 75,000 miles ago and...
Yup I agree, for me the only reason to change mirrors would be for the homelink. I park outside most of the time so I'll be wiring mine into the sunroof so it will not work without the truck on. Appreciate your help.
Foodie, does this have the homelink buttons? The link shows them in the picture, but a google search comes up showing it does not have the homelink buttons.
Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. I've been driving for 30+ years and have never had a radiator fail because of debris hitting it. Sure it's possible and has happened to others, just not likely enough for me to worry about it.
I plan to wire the homelink mirror into the sunroof switch, I know not all can do that, but I don't want my homelink to be on just from opening the door. I park in the driveway... And will connect a buck converter to the interior lights for my dashcam.
Nunya, I see the 536 has the connecter on top of the windshield mount. Does that interfere with the black plastic cover on the top of the windshield? Do you have any pictures of it installed?
Thanks for checking, I was afraid of that. I read that someone used the sunroof switch power for their homelink mirror so it wasn't on all the time. I was hoping to do the sunvisor since it's plug and play but I guess the mirror it is...
Can you tell me if the homelink buttons work without the truck on? I'd like to do this but my truck isn't always in the garage. I know the vanity mirror lights up when the door is opened, if the homelink buttons work as well anyone could get into my garage. Which obviously I don't want...
Thanks for the info, I have to wait for it to warm up before I tackle this. I was hoping the Escape platinum would have illuminated rear door handles and I could just swap them in (modify to fit). On the early model Lariats the front cubby (cell phone charger area) was illuminated. I saw a post...
