There needs to be addition to the poll...those who love the dial shifter. This would be my vote!

Someone needs to make a retro styled car with a CD player.

For all fords claims of modularity and customizability of the Maverick ford really blew it, there should have been a blank spot in the dash for a single din radio. The XL owners would go crazy adding things.
Yes!! WE HAVE! 🤪 :ROFLMAO:

Poll is missing the option: “It doesn’t matter what I think, it’s the way it is.”

I never gave the shifter a second thought. It does what it’s suppose to do.

I have had a stupid mental malfunction from day 1 that is going to cause me to punch my Mav into a parking meter or garage wall... When stopping to park or execute a 3-point turn, eyes looking to the side or rear, I continually turn the dial 2 clicks to the right for reverse rather than left. Fortunately, I've caught my error each time the Mav leaps forward. I've had my Mav for 7 months and still can't get the errant muscle memory out of my head. My wife has a Volvo SUV with a "tap" shifter... 2 taps forward for R and 2 taps back for D. I have yet to screw that up.

Same here. I'm trying real hard to visualize a column shifter arc on that dial so I can get past it.

It's just in a weird location. There is no reason for it to be on the center console beyond that's what American's are programmed to prefer. I wish there was a small column shifter like Mercedes and Hyundai use.

I do not like the dial. However, anything short of a stick with 7 notches and a clutch pedal is nearly equally suck. The ability to select individual gears for towing and fun would be a huge upgrade though.

It takes some getting used to I admit, but I find it less intrusive than a shift lever. It allows for a more spacious feel to the interior also makes it easier to maneuver your hands around the center console as needed.
