We got a great look at another Ford Maverick prototype, currently suspected to be the new Lobo package trademarked by Ford. This particular Maverick shows off an all-new vertically-slatted grille, flanked by the new headlights that are part of the Maverick’s mid-cycle facelift.

Once again, we see a new front bumper design, with newly integrated fog lights. We see more body-colored trim—all painted gloss black here—but the bed rails are still in unpainted black plastic on particular prototype. Our earlier look at this particular Maverick configuration captured a blue prototype, with matching blue-painted bed rails.

those wheels are absolutely tragic. if this is the "street" version they should've at least taken a blow torch to those springs so it isn't jacked to the sky, ugh. hideous all around

That grill looks like a storm drain.

Maybe they are like the Tesla hubcaps that come off and have a great looking wheel underneath. Hopefully? :crying:

I'm still not sold on the new headlight design, but I can get behind pretty much everything else. Except the wheels.

I love the wheels.

I am not a fan of the front-end treatment. Ford missed an opportunity by connecting the headlights with the grill. Imagine a light bar or other feature that connects the headlights. Then, the large painted surfaces below the headlights and the grill won't look disharmonious.

It’s growing on me (except the wheels), but not enough to give up my 2024. (Yet).

Just as bad as the blue one. The black does hide some of it more. Those wheels though...

What are they thinking!?

I'm hoping someone at the company is reading the feedback for this and will make some last minute changes before officially unveiling the finished product.

Safe to say, hardly anybody likes the new front fascia, the wheels, the headlights or the new screen. They should've either left it alone or changed very little. Just update to Sync 4 in the current screen so we can keep the physical buttons and add foglights and call it a day. That's all it needed in my eyes.

P.S., bring back the keypad! I miss it!

I love the whole look of this truck, front end definitely looks cool and the wheels are awesome as well. Ford just needs to reveal this thing already! Definitely curious what they're going to call it too, whether its the "Lobo" or the "ST", either way, definitely going to get one to compliment my 2023 XL Eco

Couldn't agree more, add Sync 4 and leave it alone. Ford can't build fast enough anyway this will add another delay. The wheels can be changed, but we are stuck with that fugly front end forever!

I think the grille and front end are fine now. As others have said, maybe it is just the black color that helps. I wouldn't ever get one in black, but I can tolerate the design in that color at least. 🤷‍♂️

Those wheels annoy me.

Hooray for OEM fog lights! But I bet SS3s would shine like the freaking sun compared to those little fellas. :sunglasses:

I'm looking forward to all the threads a year from now where guys retrofit the 2024 lights and grille into the 2025.
