So "lobo" means wolf south of the border.

Does "lobo" mean "LowBoy" north of the border?
A departure it seems from the cowboy/horse nomenclature. (Bronco, Maverick, Mustang) I guess the F-150 was named before Ford got cute.

No doubt, beautiful truck. May take some time for us previous owners to get use to the grille change.

The F-150 actually debuted in 1975, after the Bronco, Maverick and Mustang had already been named. Of course there were other F-series trucks back to 1948, which I guess were named before Ford got cute.

Thanks for the info. I would guess that it wasn't one person in charge of naming the vehicles. Sort of "you be cute with your names, I'll just call my truck line F (for Ford, and engine displacement)"

Interested in the improved brakes. Wondering if they are just different pads or nice Brembos from Focus RS or something in-between.

required alot of cutting and modifications of the base plates for mounting to fit my "spoiler" from ford i had attatched, will take some close ups of the mounts later if you want me to, i love it. spent an afternoon with my dremel and a few cold ones. turned out fairly nice to me.
Do you think it can be mounted without the Ford Spoiler? I dont have it. How is it secured? Double side tape like the Ford one?

probably be easier to mount, i actually used 4 screws plus the tape to install it. when i bought it, it has a 10% coupon with it, so i got it for less than 40 bucks to my door, so i didnt mind cutting the feet up to fit. it is sturdy abs and the tape itself would hold it. i will take pics when it quits raining if you would like for me to. to me it looks like it was made for it, it is the exact width of the tail gate.

That would be appreciated.

I didn't realize this is getting a 7 speed from a previous ST line? Is that correct? And the brakes have been upgraded? How so?

Man... that might be enough to sell it right there. Paddle shifters would set it but some more sporty ST looking seats and drive mode changing being on the steering wheel would have really nailed it. I also like these wheels vs. the rally style ones seen on the blue version. I also think a black truck is the only thing that will hide the new front end design.

For the price though, I think I'd rather just have a 5.0 F150 XL. Kinda what I'm leaning towards anyways; getting back into something a bit taller. Built a Ranger XLT I could drive the other day and it still came out to $46k. Lariat ends up around $52k and I'm guessing a LOBO Maverick will be around $43k? Hopefully we see some more normalization going on here but prices won't come down regardless. You definitely get more in a truck in 2024 than you would in 2022 but nowhere near what you would have gotten in 2020. Crazy times.

Anyways... I don't see a LOBO in my future.

. I'm excited to drive this as there have been upgrades to the suspension, cooling and brakes as well as torque vectoring and Lobo mode.

The interior is gorgeous and now I need to figure out how to get the blue bits for my truck. The yellow and blue stitching is perfect. The grill makes the front end. I was unsure about it at first, but the Lobo's differences help immensely.

10/10 want to drive it and track it.

I apologize for the glare with the sun on the east side. I have a video I will check and add later.

I stole these photos off the Ford website and it looks like they took some liberties with the suspension height. All of the photos of the Lobo in person or videos don’t look as low as the promo images make it look.
