Calm down.

The ratings on paper can change for various reasons. Bet you won't notice from behind the wheel though.
You’ll be able to notice 20+ hp reduction. Engineers in charge of performance would love to have that power back.

In daily life it won't matter.

If pulling a trailer uphill needs 150 HP it won't matter if you have the ability to make 238 or 250.

On the track, sure.
It only matters when you need 250.

Why would the potential custome of This Maverick not care about the power loss!
Now, the average non-performance oriented buyer maybe.
Remember, your not just down on hp,
more importantly your down on tq, probably more than 20 ft lbs.

that's the way horsepower works, yes. it is a function of torque over time.

the peak torque in a Maverick ecoboost happens pretty low, way below peak hp. so officially it hasn't lost peak torque rating the way it has fallen from 250 hp (on 91+ octane) to 238. but, yes, where the peak HP is measured it obviously is down torque.

I worked in an engine lab for 35 years.
Tq x rpm/5252, I know all about that.

My main point again, someone who shells out the extra $$$$$ for a LOBO performance truck isn’t mainly concerned with pulling a trailer.

I would bet that they are more concerned with pulling away from the RAM 1500 HEMI at the next stoplight.

The order guid says LED tail lights. But are these the same as the previous year. Just has the signature led surround, but the actual turn/brake lights are incandescent? I would imagine the back-up lights are not LED either. I can see on the front that the front blinkers are incandescent.

I think it's probably a pre production model? We'll see 🤷

it is definitely a pre-production model because Job 1 has not started for MY25 yet. it would be a little strange, but not impossible, for these press demo trucks to have different parts on them than the production trucks will get.

I sure hope they are fully LED that would be nice. But I have my suspicions based on the front end that still shows incandescent turn signals that it won't be different that it is now. Like you said, we shall see. Hope I am wrong.

Did anybody get a look at the light switch? Yes the light switch.

The Lobo has Fog Lights... I want to see if they put the same F150 switch in for foglights that many are using for their custom fog lights.

Had I been there, I would have asked for permission to crawl under that spoiler to try to get a look at the foglight hardware too... :cwl:

(I've purchased that F150 light/fog combo switch too... but 2 months of valley fever and subsequent walking pneumonia have left me without the strength to get tearing the fascia off to install my diode dynamic elites... I'm getting better, but not there yet).

I would bet it is, considering my Bronco has that same switch. I can't see any reason it would be different.
