Wife took the maverick & dog to the dog park, pushed stop start button and. Noticed a strange display at shutdown sooo pushed stop start to see what was on the screen. Nada,zip absolutely nothing black screen as if battery cables were removed. She called the dealership was told call tow truck to bring it in. Driver tried to jump start to no avail finally loaded the maverick on the flatbed & delivered it to the dealership. Two days later the answer is we are still diagnosing it....

we LOVE the maverick but Breaking down like this is unacceptable
intend to visit the dealership tomorrow expecting to see it still on the back lot waiting for Devine intervention

I guess the issue isn't just limited to hybrid. I hope Ford will sort this out in the coming models.

Hi. Mine showed me brake problem at the dash, then later didn't started, I jumped it with my own lil costco booster, it sent a message to run it a longer distance with the AC off, after one hour of driving I hit the postal office, exit the place and it started like new again, next day it failed to start again, called ford, they checked and changed my battery, that was yesterday and so far so good.

Hope they fix yours, btw mine disable the auto stop-start by itself to safe battery prior to let me stranded.

Unfortunately all the extra expense from an XL to Lariat is put into the creature comforts and nothing to do with drivetrain/reliability.

Just another reason to drop the Maverick like a hot potato - I dumped mine with 1,700 miles and the first 700 miles was in a single drive - found a new 23' Ranger XLT - won't touch the 24 as all the new software will shut the new ones down like the Mav - check out CM Mavs are piling up and they are dropping the prices almost daily - RIP Maverick
