Remember that time EB customers got a free AWD upgrade, and folks ordering the base model (the only thing I have ever seen advertised at all) got a cup holder? This becomes more amusing daily.

This is the email I received today, which basically entails the same information but mine refers to my order specifically. Received this email today 10/21 and order date 9/23.

Here's my email, I can't find a mention of an order in either one?

I’d prefer to wait a bit longer for the truck I wanted than be forced into a vehicle configuration I didn’t ask for.

I ordered new windows for my house last November. Still 3 months away minimum
Ha Ha! Amazing world it has become, indeed. I hired a landscaping company in September last year (2020), and it finally got built one year later last month. (Well, mostly built, as it seems some final finishing pieces are out of stock and waiting to arrive. Maybe they're on one of those 167 ships off Long Beach waiting to be unloaded...) Also waited 6 months for a fence company to build a new iron fence. Both informed me they had issues with covid and then largely due to lack of enough employees.

I'm not too surprised about a delay, as I'm a relative newby to the MTC and have not waited nearly as long as most of you veterans here who ordered last June, and I also did a lot of researching online (including here) and knew there were delays in information and production of hybrid Mavericks before I even placed my order.

In a way, a glass half-full way that I see it is that a few more months of delay allows me to save a bit more of a cash down payment so as to reduce my monthly payments. Also, as some had mentioned earlier on this forum: a few more months many allow Ford to discover issues and improve build quality on this new vehicle in its first year of production. (I'm guessing almost everybody here has at least one or more other vehicles to drive until their new Maverick arrives.)

Overall, I took the news of the hybrid EPA 42 mpg city mileage estimate (better than the expected 40 mpg city estimate) and the official Ford confirmation of the December releases of hybrid trucks as positive news.

[Sorry for the long-winded post!]

Little late chiming in here, but I got my "thanks for waiting, we'll give you some free crap" email this afternoon too.
Honestly, they owe me nothing so I'm grateful there'll be a little gift thrown in should I go through with the purchase (definitely will if dealer stays cool about not jerking me around on price).
Like a lot of other people, there hasn't been any response from Ford or dealer since the order confirmed email, so I'm actually just really pleased to know I'm still in the system!

This is the letter I got. I read it to mean that there are a bunch of orders ahead of you so don't expect to see it anytime soon.
Probably! It's my own darn fault for waiting so long to visit a dealer to put my custom order in. I'm thankful I'm in a situation where I can afford to wait. 😊

Oh I wanted to mention when I placed my order for my vehicle in case that would differ from anyone else's with a different order date! There's no mention in this particular email about it otherwise. Sorry for the confusion!

I'm digging your positivity! Welcome to the forum and glad to hear that you used the MTC as a resource! And if you haven't already, make sure you check out the meme thread for some really great laughs as you wait for you Maverick to get built.

I didn't get a letter yet. but I am okay waiting 2 to 4 months more. We did get better mpg then originally quoted. Didn't see anybody drop their reservation because of it.
I be surprised if Ford kept the same base price for 2023 model year with all the inflation issues we are having. I think this car is easily underpriced by 2-3k in the xl and xlt models.
By the way Toyota has stopped making base models of Tacoma. Honda ridgeline is only available in all wheel drive now. Santa Cruz's mpg is nowhere near Fords.
Plus the hybrid is good for the environment. Anyways what I am saying is, its worth the wait.

Yep, letter in my in-box - getting the Hybrid SWAG for the wait... Here's hoping for a Jan delivery.

This is also the letter I received today and it is different from the letter others have posted.

Changes include:

-- no mention of waiting "stinks".
-- "there's already one with your name on it", has been added.
-- "will be delivered next year" is new language not in the other letter.

For whatever reason, they're sending out slightly different letters to some customers.
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with your spot in the ordering sequence or whether
you've ordered a hybrid (I did) or something else.

"Will be delivered next year" is certainly vague - that could be anywhere from January to
December, haha.

I did have an opportunity to extensively drive one and go through the Maverick thoroughly.
I'll start a new thread and share my thoughts.

Sorry, I just registered here, but I've been following this site for months, so I don't really feel
like a newbie.

Yeah, like "coming this fall" meant one delivery before December 21, I guess I should be prepared now to possibly wait until 31-Dec-2022 for mine!

Unless you are custom ordering your Toyota, how do you know that vehicle hasn't been sitting in a lot somewhere? Or do you go and check the manufacture dates of every vehicle to make sure they were delivered the same month you decided to purchase it? I highly doubt they are letting these things rot away in a lot somewhere with the batteries connected. You'll get the truck in 2-3 months, it will be freshly detailed from the dealer, and if it hadn't of been for these threads, you would be none the wiser as to how long it actually sat somewhere before it got delivered.
And good luck just waltzing over to Toyota and hopping into a new truck.
My local Toyota dealer, which seems typical of most, has literally ZERO new vehicle inventory.
The same shortages that are hitting all manufacturers are not something Toyota is immune to.
Of course when they do have something available they will be sure to mark up the hell out of it -
that's the law of supply and demand. Just like the housing market, it's a seller's market right now because there's lots of buyers and precious few sellers who actually have inventory to sell.
