Update on free Ford FITS accessory kit availability for delayed Hybrid Maverick delivery

Had my hybrid about 3 weeks now. Ordered June 11 and got the Oct email that I would get this kit. My dealer's parts department doesn't have it (at least they say they don't). I called the 800 marketing number, and they didn't have any great ideas what to do. I know this kit isn't a big deal and probably costs Ford about $2, but I was promised it and would like to check it out. Anybody got any ideas how to get this thing? (BTW, love the truck so far. 0 problems and amazing mileage.)

3 months after I took delivery my sales person emailed me saying my FITS kit was in. It was shipped to the Ford dealer, attention General Mgr/Sales Mgr. My VIN was on the package label.

I think at this point, they should just give out a free Maverick with every Maverick order delivered.

I picked up my FITS kit today at the dealership. No one knew what FITS kit was. After I told them what it was and showed them a picture. We went looking for them. In a back storage room we found about 10 of them.

my dealer was on top of it - had a terse discussion with parts guy who made it clear he was NOT storing them in his area. Found in the shop. seems nice enough stuff. (cup holder; trash container; underseat storage partitions. few very small and useless accessories.

I put the cup holder (Fits) in the rear of my truck. It fit in perfectly, and looked good. The other day I was In the rear seat of the truck and put a large drink into the holder, it fit perfectly.

I left the truck, came back in, and barely touched the holder and the soda started to spill. Luckily it spilled onto the rubber mats. Fast clean up.

I started to look at the holder, and even though it fits in good, it is not very sturdy. It moves from side to side when lightly touched. I would not recommend using this holder.

My salesman didn’t know anything about the FITS package when I took delivery and said he would look into it and let me know. I found the package in the underseat storage.

My FITS kit was not with the truck when I picked it up over a month ago. Emails and calls to the Sales Associates that handled my purchase got me " keep checking with our parts dept. They will know all about it". No one in parts had a clue about it. They told me if I wanted to order one I could use my rewards points.
Today my wife was down the street from this terrible dealer and she decided to stop in and ask. She had a copy of the letter from Ford stating that I was getting one. Again, no one knew what it was. Finally a person in the parts dept looked it up and lo & behold they had one in the back. Label had my VIN on it! Could they have been holding it back for sale to another person? Maybe. It would not surprise me.
Well, I will never use this dealership except for warranty work.
FY- I got other accessories like the side bed cubbies and tie downs on line from FairwayFordParts.net Quick service. And they will take your Rewards Points as payment! There is no place on their site to chose this type of payment. Just email them the parts #, shipping address and your Ford Pass membership #. They will email you an invoice. Once you OK the purchase, they ship it. I got mine on a Sunday via FedEx. Great service and they had everything I needed in stock.

Follow up to previous post. My FITS kit was sitting at the dealer since March 12, 2022. One month before the truck arrived. Checked the UPS tracking number. No one had a clue about this. It was addressed to the Sales Manager of the dealership.
I guess we can chalk it up to a lack of communication between Ford and the dealership as well as between the 2 departments at the dealership.
As far as what’s in the kit I might use 2 or 3 of the items. But that’s it. I heard that this kit is for U.S. orders only placed before Oct 2021. I haven’t heard what Canadian buyers are getting as a “ thanks for waiting” gift.

Mine was in the back seat, along with a white funnel. I asked about the funnel and was told it was for putting gas in with a gas can. I noticed a few Mav's that had it clipped on to the tire jack in the rear compartment.

I received my Maverick Hybrid on 9/23/2022 and asked my salesman and the parts department about the FITS kit. Everyone denied knowing anything about it. I guess, if I want one, I'll have to buy one?

I got someone’s maverick order that they didn’t take. Not sure if they qualified for a free FITS package or not. Not sure how to find out, Had the salesman and parts look for it to no avail. Was mainly interested in the trash can for the rear console.

Don't toss that funnel! It is pretty close to impossible to add gas FROM A GAS CAN if you ever run out of gas, that funnel is mandatory.... picked up a leased Ford Escape out of gas, and did not know about the funnel until a wrecker service showed me where the funnel was located. Most other short funnels don't work, funnel has to have a long skinny neck to trigger the suction in the gas line.
