I think you would have to completely replace the entire ignition system, and get new matched keyfobs. Likely some Forscan work too.

Let's hope someone come with a good and cost-effective way to do it, I do really would love to just enter and power the mav without taking out my keys.

I had that feature on my 20 Escape. I do miss it.

it has been done once that I know of for an f150 and it involved a lot of rewiring and a few changes with forscan and getting the keys programmed to the truck which will be the hardest part

I did this years ago on a VW. Put the button in the sliding ash tray to hide it but left the key part. Just turn to acc, slide out ashtray and push the button. Useful for anti carjacking, Install is not too hard, you can source the parts on Ebay or amazon.

I looked into this at length, and could find no reasonable solution. I traded in my '23 XLT for a '24 Lariat, mostly to get that feature.

This was the primary reason why I ordered the Lariat. I have gotten spoiled by my Fusion, the wife's Ecosport, and daughters Escape all having push button start. Just couldn't bring myself to go back to using a physical key again.

Truly, a first-world problem.

Agree, completely a first world problem. There were several other features exclusive to the Lariat package that helped make my decision. Almost all creature comfort items, nothing I couldn't live without, just chose not to. This was my first time ordering a vehicle so I figured that I might as well get the options that I wanted. A decision made much easier by the affordability of the Maverick.

I got the XLT lux pkg, expecting the push button to be part of the build, wanted the lariat but was way way over msrp.

Most anything is possible with enough $. Doubt that what your really wanting would be feasible from a $ standpoint. Imagine you could add a push button start only but you'd still have to keep the key in the ignition to unlock the steering and turn the ignition on. I assume that would be the case. Anyways, that's my 2 cents on the topic

That would have been nice, especially since the Hybrid powertrain was not available for the Lariat in Canada for MY22. :(

Definitely paying more than I wanted to, but will be happier down the road. Thankfully, my dealer doesn't go over MSRP on orders, but the items they ordered are marked up a little, not crazy. But enough that I wasn't willing to jump on anything that they got in while waiting for the one i ordered.
