I have my fingers crossed someone will start making wide fenders and bedsides
I called Advanced Fiberglass and they said no unless enough people asked for it
I’d love some wider fenders

Preach on! All the negative Nancys need to shush it and let OP go crazy. There's no room for reason in this thread!
Perhaps we need a section for hardcore mods/fabrication/powertrain swaps.

It will be interesting to see how the mav does offroad with this kind of modding. Always wanted to do it to an old toyota 4x4 from back before the taco was a thing.

I will be posting as often as I can on this pre runner style build of my 23’ tremor . First I did a gr40 suspension kit from flat out suspensions.

IMG_2810.jpeg

Then I mounted up some 255/75/17 BFGoodrich mud terrains ( 32x10”)

IMG_2785.jpeg
IMG_2784.jpeg

Now the whole unit sits about 2 1/4 “taller at the wheel arch. Only 1 1/2” in rear.
going to order longer springs too to play more with height . Didn’t get the 3 1/2” I was looking for.

IMG_2824.jpg

IMG_2826.jpeg
IMG_2822.jpeg

stance is not quite right. May go 11/2” wheel spacer until I can make some A arms.
next up is cutting the bumpers up and doing some tube bumpers with skid plates.
but first is relocating elm from lower federwell( worst ford placement ever )

image.jpg

And rim and weld pinch weld

it’s dark now so will do finish work tomorrow.

the best thing about the suspension kit is the rear went from 2 1/2 “ of suspension droop to 5”
will have to re cycle the front after I get new springs made .
biggest issue all around is the lower arm resistance on the front .I may go for a custom lower arm with a uniball or other joint layed sideways . The swaybar is also adding a large amount of compounded spring rate ,even with one side disconnected.( looking at modding apex disconnects or making my own)
i do have a set of stock tremor tires with 2000 miles for sale soon and the stock tremor shocks, springs and struts too.
in the east San Diego area.

This truck is for light playing in the anza Borrego desert area. I have a property at ocotillo wells ,across from the airport there by the off road park.
I do know it will never keep up with the serious desert machines but is also a good daily versus my buggy or full size broncos .

But we will see what the limits really are!
Booyah 👊🏽 😁 👍🏽 🇺🇸
I am looking into flat out as well, have you been off roading yet

I think you are missing the point... Lots of us can replace CV's... I can also turn my wheels at full lock without rub and not overstressing stock components. This Tremors lifespan on suspension/steering parts and driveline components just got cut in half due to the angles and size/weight of the tires alone.

Whatever. YOLO amiright...

I know I sound like a grumpy hater, but these trucks are not built to handle these angles. Unibodies in general are not built to handle this kind of lift. The Flatout lift is one thing but anything above 2"... hell, anything above the stock Tremor level is definitely going to cause issues. This level of lift here, it won't take long. If this was an on frame truck it might stand a chance but still - not likely. Tons of info out there to showcase this and the negative side effects. Lastly, anyone can cut up a fender... it's how you seal it that makes the difference. Of course, in CA... they probably don't care as much.

It's the same transmission. I'm willing to bet it takes less than 30k before OP notices serious problems, if not almost immediately with rough shifting.
Oh yeah dude I absolutely know that the angle of the CV is going to be insane but I think this dude's concerned about other things lol. I'm sure as time goes on the aftermarket sector will develop CVs I can handle higher lifts.

For me personally where I go I don't need more clearance I just need a little bit more grip but I'm still running the OEM tires. I did get some traction boards and I bring them everywhere I go when I go out into the wild

I've got a white tremor XLT and get a mind bending 21.5 mpg What are you getting now.. ?
The gas mileage is what causes me to hang onto my Cherokee Trailhawk. It gets better gas mileage than my Patriot in the city.

I'm looking forward to running in to this little beast. I'm often out on the BLM land out there.

just my opinion, you know what they say about those. wheel and tire combo just looks to big for the wheel opening. i think a 30 overall diameter would look better. 29s on mine look perfect. you do you. thats all that matters really.

Thanks for the encouragement .
working on ecm relocate , just bad location from ford .
any puddles or mud over 10” at the bottom of the front wheel well will surround the plugs and ecm. The ecm is press sealed with a gortex style one way evap valve ,buuuuuuuuutttt. Not trusting any of that for large puddles!
Ford Maverick Prerunner style Maverick Tremor build w/ 33's IMG_2837

Going up top , look like everything reaches , just have to make brackets

@Bwicka
... all of these people bitching about you cutting up YOUR truck will never take a wrench to their own. Cut that bitch up, brother! 😈

You can always see them at Jiffy Lube in the waiting room if you choose to visit... or the dealership having a "technician" properly install their mudflaps. 🙄

No shit! I think this is a unique build. @Ford should pay attention....

Next item , looking at is possible front subframe drop . Just a1 1/2”-2” along with read shaft bearing . May workout good for the Clearance I’m looking for . Appears that all electrical is long enough and large coolant hoses too ,little one to reservoir may need extending and another bypass on front by left side radiator may be too short.
6 billet pucks and bolts along with 2 custom billet blocks for the engine and trans mount, along with new bolts would do it , except steering shaft mod . There is a small slip section with universal at the floorboard( right behind and underneath the brake pedal) that wood make an easy to get to piece for a lengthened replacement . May have to go junkyard scrounging next week.
i know this only is a drop type lift ( no actual clearance gained down the center) but with a 33 “ I’ll gain another 1/2” of center clearance and additional body/ rocker clearance of 2”-2 1/2”.

If Ford does listen in , wouldn’t mind get back to racing if you got any old test mules around ! (I.e. press ,proving ground or noise, vibration, harshness)
I know it won’t clean a ranger raptor up in the stock class , but it could be good for some r &d.
