Last year I purchased and took delivery of a hybrid Maverick.. Absolutely love it.. Have another one on order. In the past I owned 9 new Silverado's and 3 new F150. Thinking about canceling the Maverick that's on order. Dealer doesn't seem to give a c*** about selling me a new MAVRICK. Putting a Toyota Stout on order. Any comments?
The Stout was on the market for 45 years and never made an appearance in the USA. But then the Tacoma was not a full-size truck back then either. Good luck with that.

The "Stout" doesn't exist, so why are people talking and acting as if it does? How does one "switch" to a non-existent vehicle and one that probably won't exist for the next few years if Toyota even decides to enter the compact truck segment?

Maybe they like waiting for a Maverick so much that just waiting 2 years or so isn't enough. Just think, if you "switch" to the mythical Toyota Stout today, you can brag to all your friends you were first on the list back in 2023 and you ONLY had to wait 5 years to take delivery!

My favorite are those who are encouraging people not to place an order for the Ford Maverick because of the wait and instead wait for the non-existent Toyota Stout. :cautious:

In the race to see who has the coolest non-existent pickup in the driveway, maybe that's genius! My imaginary truck is better than yours!

The first "purchasers" of the "Stout" will be joining the 1,500 club by the time they maybe receive theirs.

I encourage you to throw caution to the wind and get one of these babies. Very rare due to the overwhelming demand and current supply crisis.

And don’t forget the station wagon version of that car, the Wego.
Or, the motorcycle, the Igo.

For anyone hoping for this in the near future it looks like you'll be waiting several years because Toyota is now saying they don't have any such product planned at the moment.

https://www.autonews.com/dealers/to...averick?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

"We don't have anything planned," Toyota brand head Dave Christ Christ said. "We're not announcing anything to the dealers. I won't even say 'yet' because that would suggest it's coming. But certainly, it's something we've looked at."
