well we will see, when it comes out how much it will cost and how uncomfortable it will be.
And how long it will take to get one. If it's anything like the rav4 primes your in for a several year wait.

Youtube is just full of clickbait with upcoming vehicles that will threaten the Maverick. But it's all conjector with nothing ever officially released.

For anyone hoping for this in the near future it looks like you'll be waiting several years because Toyota is now saying they don't have any such product planned at the moment.

"We don't have anything planned," Toyota brand head Dave Christ Christ said. "We're not announcing anything to the dealers. I won't even say 'yet' because that would suggest it's coming. But certainly, it's something we've looked at."

A badly photoshopped picture of a Maverick does not a Stout make.

Those are highly edited images of Mavericks. Toyota hasn't released anything official about the Stouts appearance.
I’ve said this for months and did people listen hell no 😭😭

It will definitely be a 'problem' for the Maverick since it'll add competition to a very dry segment (Maverick, Santa Cruz, and maybe Ridgeline.)
I doubt Toyota will be able to match the value of the Mav though.

Here's my theory

Toyota Stout
+ More reliable brand
+ More high tech features
+ Looks better (Toyota is doing a good job at making their trucks/suvs look squared and aggressive)
- Less power
- More expensive

Good luck with that theory 😂

So far the Mav has sold about 200K units, and demand is quickly tapering off. For Toyota, they have to decide if getting a portion of that market is worth the development costs. It would also require either a new plant or cutting existing production at another plant, all of which are running 100% right now.

If I was Toyota, I would wait and see, maybe looking at combining engineering with the next RAV4 to save costs. They are probably researching what other markets would embrace it to spread the costs worldwide.
