My experience is there is a dual modal distribution of problems. First couple years then everything is fine until around 10-15 years and 150-200k miles then maintenance starts piling up. Usually I get hit with a big bill and get frustrated and get rid of it around that age. One reason I got the hybrid maverick was the longevity people got out of the escape with similar drivetrain

Until my '24 is delivered.

Yes. That’s my thought currently. Ordered 2024 maverick xl hybrid on July 17th. I know it will take at least 12 months before build because of orders from 2023 carry overs. I do love love my xl maverick just as much as my 2023 maverick lariat.. loyal Ford salary retiree.

Until it explodes with me in it or until they release an ST variant.

Realistically, I'd like to keep the old girl around for at least the 5 years it's financed for. Almost a year in, I still like the truck. I look to trade it in while it still has value, and 5 years is kinda a sweet spot for trucks.

At least for the next five years. If Ford puts out something in the 28/29 model year, I might be willing to trade-in and upgrade, otherwise, I'll just drive it until the wheels fall off.

Honda Element - 21 yrs old still ticking
Porsche 930 - kept 13 yrs (until stolen)
Porsche Cayman S - 6 yrs (Traded for Maverick)
Honda CRV - 25 yrs old and still ticking.

Only concern with Maverick/Hybrid is my and probably all Ford Dealers automatically have a $150-$180 repair inspection (got-ya) fee anytime you take it in their door for problems, except for warranty, recalls or standard maintenance like oil changes. My dealer tried to charge me for ceiling airbag recall last month until I pointed it out that it was a recall item) With this service charge the Maverick (0r any Ford, may be expensive to maintain. All the computer diagnostics are going to push many of the small economic repair shops out of business...many in my area are already long GONE!
Sorry to hear about the 930, it's the only Porsche I have ever driven that wanted to swap ends quickly

Tail waging was never an issue with me. But 80 mph in 2nd gear (3 more to go) was pretty amazing. Drove a 2022 911 Turbo Sport AWD recently - 0-60 in 2.76 seconds was an eye opener. (way beyond my pay grade)

I usually keep vehicles a long time. My last truck was an F-150 which I drove for 22 years. I imagine this will be my last new vehicle. Once it arrives, I plan to keep it until I am no longer able to drive, or it gets rear-ended/totaled. 😬
I had planned to keep my Maverick till. Well till happened after four months and nineteen days after I got it. My dealer offered me five thousand dollars over my purchase price. Six if I traded it in. Drove home that day with a brand new Bronco Sport. Hot Pepper Red and a much lower payment. Traded a Bronco Sport for the Maverick. Got a great deal on that one too.

If I am lucky I'll get at least 20 years and around 250k miles out of it which is what I got out of my previous truck.

I was lucky to Drive a GT3 RS 4 liter, Insaine, as you stated above my pay grade, however, my Boxster is in Vegas getting the engine replace, with a LS3 from Renegade. Can't wait, the GT3 might be slightly faster, just slightly.

Basically, until it dies, or I die. We have had no issues, and in 10 months we have put on it already 25K+ miles.

Technology keeps improving cars. 5 years from now there may be a good reason to update. Hopefully, used Mavericks will still be in demand then.

I’m planning to pay my XL EB off over the next year, hopefully before the 35k mile mark. Then, I’ll drive it until the wheels fall off!

How long do you plan to keep your Ford Maverick Truck?
35 YEARS TIL I DIE AT 102 IN MY BED, THEN MY BROTHER CAN HAVE IT.
