  1. MAX A/C and Recirculate question

Also on recirculate you can have the foot vents on. When you select max it’s only the dash vents available. I got sweaty feet so I use recirc.
  2. How long do you plan to keep your Maverick?

My experience is there is a dual modal distribution of problems. First couple years then everything is fine until around 10-15 years and 150-200k miles then maintenance starts piling up. Usually I get hit with a big bill and get frustrated and get rid of it around that age. One reason I got...
  3. What's your Maverick hauling in the bed? [Photos Edition]

there is a lot of variation. Can be 30-70 these felt like about 40. Usually you run out of room way before payload. To new I feel like the added wind load of another row would be too much and too top heavy.
  4. Hay stacking

Yeah I need to add some cleats. The one in the front is fine but the rear one is too far down on the bed floor (which works better for cargo net) to reach with the ratchet. Real farmers claim if you stack right you don’t need to tie it down. I didn’t go over 55 but you can feel the added wind...
  5. What's your Maverick hauling in the bed? [Photos Edition]

Maverick is my only truck as of now. Was picking up some hay and it did well. For my first trip I took 23 bales to take it easy. I think 26 would be good 6bottom row - I tried a couple options. On side they are a bit low so I put them on edge so the next row leans in but not too much. You...

  7. Hot bottom... keep fire extinguisher on board?

Good I’m always cautious when I’m in dry stuff. I know guys with diesels whose regen has started a field on fire
  8. Hot bottom... keep fire extinguisher on board?

Anyone have any issues with hot bits underneath? I keep hearing about cherry red cats and things. My other truck is gone and the poor maverick is having to take over some work. Was putting out tubs this morning and wondering if I should have a fire extinguisher
  9. Any aftermarket alternatives to the felt wheel liners and underbody panels?

My focus has a felt liner under the front/engine and I’ve had it for 8 years. It’s 2 miles of dirt driveway/rd to the nearest paved and it has held up fine. Makes changing the oil a pain though.
  10. MY23 EPA city MPG reduction?

This dosnt match with the change. Highway mileage stayed the same aero changes would affect highway more than city. I think the grabby brake issue might explain the city change.
  11. Ford ESP Plans comparison in easy to read format (attached here)

I did even worse. On the Honda I just bought I wasn’t paying attention and got the esp for similar to what you paid. After a few days I looked at it more carefully, it’s not even the Honda esp it’s a 3rd party. At least you got the ford one. I was able to cancel it with a 1 page cancelation...
  12. The need for an aftermarket exhaust on the Hybrid Ford Maverick

I never spring for an extended warranty before but I plan on keeping this one. Awhile and it might be a good idea. my prior f350 (gas) exhaust rusted out at 8 years and I got the cheapest flownaster I could find to pass inspection it rotted out in 5 years. something not mentioned usually...
  13. Costco Gas? Real Savings?

you said even if they did it still wouldn’t be costcos fault. I just pointed out that you are wrong about leaded gasoline being available and that your reasoning dosnt make sense, a retailer is responsible for the goods they sell obtained from wholesalers. Are you backtracking that if true the...
  14. Costco Gas? Real Savings?

I guess it’s not Costco's fault they chose a supplier that put the wrong gas in the tanks then didn’t test it. I like Costco but any other product they sell would you defend like this? I got rotten chicken at Costco! Well it’s not their fault the supplier gave them rotten chicken. Lol Also you...
  15. Costco Gas? Real Savings?

100ll is still used in the us. Could come from the same refinery but if that’s it and the mix up went the other way and then put e85 in the avgas tank it could have killed someone
  16. Bed rug

This is 14 year old bed rug. It’s had 175 loads of logs /split firewood, pigs, calves, goats, wood chips, etc and has really held up well. Only thing it really didn’t like is the pitch fork if you angle it to low it will go r right through. I’m a huge fan and would say for the average...
  17. Unexpected hybrid vs eco scheduling

I ordered 2 identical xl mavericks (full size spare, tow hitch only options. 1 is a hybrid 1 is a ecoboost. I wanted the hybrid but read on here that it might not get built so ordered the eco as a backup. both ordered 9-15 Confirmed 9-20 Got a “scheduled” email on 11-3 with both scheduled...
  18. Your predictions: build date vs. delivery?

I wish I could just fly out and drive it back. With shipping delivays and high destination costs it would be a free vacation.
  19. Maverick for a big boy?

I have a family member asking about the maverick. I haven’t got mine yet to let him try out but he is 6’2” and about 375. He used to squeeze into an accord but had trouble with it. Anyone on the bigger side with a maverick? I think the more upright position and entry would help?
  20. Financing

Does anybody know the prime rates for ford in 9-16-22 when the order banks opened. I’m reading on here and dealer confirmed I can have the rate from time of order or the time of delivery. With the way the fed and news looks time of order is probably best bet.
