You will get used to it but it is definitely different. Also Lost the remote start on the key fob. It's an added option I didn't realize I had to add it to the 23. I was disappointed about the temperature control knod change as well.

Yes, I forgot about that but to be honest I never used it with my ‘22. There was also a red microphone or something on the old fob. I think that might have been an alarm? I guess it wasn’t necessary anymore because everyone seems to carry a gun 😢

Mine got converted from a 22 to a 23 and in the process lost the remote start on the key fob and also they separated the Copilot 360 package some of the options came with the Lariat pkg. I had to fight hard to get them readded (since I already had a vin) before they built my 23'. Worth the fight!

Yeah, I just think the wheel makes it look a lot more complete.

To me the optional wheel looks more natural since it’s a 5 spoke design on a 5 bolt wheel.

The standard wheel is a 6 spoke design on a 5 spoke wheel. I think they only did it to look more like some F150 6 bolt wheels.

If you can find some on eBay, I don't think you will have trouble selling your current wheels. Seems the steelies are in abundance so should be someone willing to buy your current set.
Thanks! I’ll take a look but mods are going to be limiTed for a while since I splurged on a Bak M4 tonneau arriving this week.

Thank you! I think it was more textured than this smooth one. This one feels cheap like it’s probably vinyl ☹ I guess a steering wheel wrap will be on my list of mods.
Hi, I picked up my 2023 Hybrid XLT Lux 4 days ago. It is exactly like my 2022. The first thing I noticed was the steering wheel. The new wheel is smoother and feels more like a foam vs the 2022 wheel that has more grain and texture. I prefer the 2022 wheel, but it’s a nit.

Is it sort of bumpy? I was wondering this too because my Escape had a much nicer obviously leather steering wheel and it wasn't something I wasn't expecting to be downgraded in the top tier Maverick, along with an older version of Sync in the same year model. Actually it was produced after my Escape was by half a year, so I found it odd.

I may revisit ordering a new one later towards end of model years if I can get those features and some others back. Not giving up my temperature control lol. But I wouldn't mind a white 4k tow with those 4k wheels, or AWD hybrid. I suspect if they did that in the Maverick it would disrupt Spacetime and break the universe timeline :ROFLMAO:

As a low-level OCD, I've always been bugged by that as well. Six to nine spokes on a 5-lug wheel just screws up the symmetry. 5-lug wheels should be either five or ten spokes, and 6-lug wheels should be six, nine, or twelve spokes. Order must be maintained! 🧐

It's not uncommon and a lot of people feel the same way. It's fractal. (y)

For those concerned with the temperature reading in the HVAC control knobs....

Know that it is displayed in the top left and top right of the center screen.

I thought I might convert mine to the knob display, but once I figured out the temps are in the screen above, I see no reason to change it out!

I think I read a post here not long ago that mentioned the 23 Lariat Lux included built in navigation that the 22 didn't. I don't care about that stuff so never looked for it since I don't use it. That may or may not be accurate. Anything beyond FM Radio and Sirius Radio I haven't looked for.

My 2022 Lariat with Lux pkg was built in Sept. 22 and my window sticker states it has a leather wrapped stearing wheel.

2023 Lariat luxury definitely has built in navigation and 5 years of x.m traffic updates.

It’s definitely not bumpy, smooth and soft. The “keep your hands on the steering wheel “ alarm keeps coming on so I think you have to grip harder.
I’m trying to figure out if I can turn that, the larger than life seatbelt warning and the “check your backseat” warnings off or something. They are a bit annoying in that you have to hit ok to turn them off.

Ok, so now I’m trying to figure out if I am low, medium or high level OCD🤪 I never noticed the lugs, spokes or anything until these huge silver things showed up on my 23 wheels.
