For those concerned with the temperature reading in the HVAC control knobs....

Know that it is displayed in the top left and top right of the center screen.

I thought I might convert mine to the knob display, but once I figured out the temps are in the screen above, I see no reason to change it out!
It doesn’t bother me as long as I can find it somewhere and the screen doesn’t go black🤣

It’s definitely not bumpy, smooth and soft. The “keep your hands on the steering wheel “ alarm keeps coming on so I think you have to grip harder.
I’m trying to figure out if I can turn that, the larger than life seatbelt warning and the “check your backseat” warnings off or something. They are a bit annoying in that you have to hit ok to turn them off.
Backseat one can be turned off. It'll still pop every six months. Seatbelt as well, but it is more complicated.

The hands on steering wheel one is the worst. Multiple warnings despite both hands being firmly on the wheel. I guess I don't drive erratic enough in straight lines for Ford.

Which doesn't display if using Android Auto.

I think I read a post here not long ago that mentioned the 23 Lariat Lux included built in navigation that the 22 didn't. I don't care about that stuff so never looked for it since I don't use it. That may or may not be accurate. Anything beyond FM Radio and Sirius Radio I haven't looked for.
I’m not really a fan of the navigation but it’s there until the subscription runs out. I use my phone which I hope will still work 🤞🏻 With my 22 I had a limited subscription to Sirius but apparently not with the 23.

I might have to ask you about the seatbelt one once I slow down with my projects. The steering wheel one is maddening!

Can you turn driver alert off? Or do you mean when using ACC/LC?

I didn't like it in my Escape either, but I did like having the maps up there without needing to use Android Auto. One things that drew me to the new Chevy Colorado's was their implementation of Google Maps without the need for Android Auto. Toyota was by far the worst maps I have ever seen. Every time I'd go into town it would show the Toyota Dealer as a big ole blip and you couldn't remove it. Android Auto has grown on me a bit but I dislike the suggested routes and the only way I've found to disable it is incognito mode and even that will constantly show a pop-up upon initial start up. Always something...

With my Mav only being 2 days running I haven’t used the ACC yet but I’ll find out next week.

I had the navigation in my 2013 CMax, many of the addresses couldn’t be found and voice recognition was terrible! I would have to repeat addresses 3-4 times before it told me there was no such address😖 Updating it was a chore and then when it came time to renew for $ I was happy to say no thank you. I’m sure they’ve gotten much better but I still have PTSD from my experiences.

Ok, so now I’m trying to figure out if I am low, medium or high level OCD🤪 I never noticed the lugs, spokes or anything until these huge silver things showed up on my 23 wheels.
lol....if you never noticed before, you're not even on the OCD radar... 🤠

I picked up my ’23 Lariat Lux yesterday and was surprised about some of the differences! First I noticed the wheels were different. The new ones seem to have thicker and straighter silver outlines. Then I noticed the temperature knobs no longer displayed a number, just a thermometer icon.

Finally, driving home I kept thinking the steering wheel felt different, smoother I think. Since my ‘22 was traded in I can’t look at it again☹

Any other differences anyone has noticed?

I would have definitely choosen those wheels but I went with the BAP.

I guess congrats on the new Mav, but you had a pretty special one before and now you have the same as everyone else. I actually did a similar trade a year ago but my First Edition was an ecoboost, and it didn't have 4K towing. The mileage reset is good and you also have all-new interior plastics with no wear and tear (yet), but honestly I think your FE was a much nicer looking truck.

I like everything about the BAP except the seats. I have found black leather seats in FL are too hot.

I’m quite happy with my A51 and I do actually like it better than my FE CarbGray. So many colors so everyone can have what makes them happy👍🏻😊

I agree with that, it's why my First Edition was A51. :D

My old truck had the black FX4 wheels which I find boring, but yours had the 18" dark painted wheel, which I actually paid $795 to have on my current truck.

Ceramic tint, especially the windshield will help immensely.

Had that done before I left the dealer. I didn’t realize the difference that would make until I was driving home and my arm didn’t feel like it was on fire from the sun👍🏻
