Sold the 2023 Maverick Hybrid and bought a 2023 Ridgeline Black Edition. I only drive 2K or maybe 3K miles a year and wont miss the extra fuel economy too much.

I will keep an eye on the Mav development and maybe in 3 or 4 more years they'll get it dialed in, hopefully with a MSRP still under $25k.

Every new gen model has growing pains - it is what it is. Doesn't matter who the mfg is, very few get lucky with a homerun the first few production years.

I prefer to buy very mature-generation vehicles. This is the 6th model year and 7th production year of the 2nd gen Ridgeline - and by now it is very well sorted out.

N.A. V6 9-sp AWD w/paddle shift, climate control in the rear, nearly 600watt stereo and the entire bed is one giant speaker. Plus it has a trunk - A TRUNK!!

Honda is offering $1k instant rebates and 2.9%/60mo on these - and on top of that they can be found $5k-$6k under MSRP right now if you shop.

So with all of those deals, what was the final OTD price on the Ridgeline? I have a hard time getting deals in Charleston, SC but may be worth a little travel. Any dealers showing less than MSRP on their site?

my dad has a ridgeline and it drives great. Been debating getting one over the maverick as it is a bigger truck, and maybe I need a bigger truck…

I can’t complain about the Ridgeline it definitely earns it’s top spot. The Maverick definitely fits my lifestyle better though. I drive over 30k miles a year.
Same here, I drive 25,000 miles a year, the Maverick hybrid really meets my needs well, it is great having good capability, comfort, and the styling is fantastic. That said, mine has become problematic and my airbag recall was botched on top of that. I wish Ford would have been addressed the known and well-documented issues (e.g no-start/no power) more aggressively. When I get mine back, I'll reevaluate whether I like it as much as before. One starts to wander after a month without.

Congratulations on the new Honda, skyhawk!

As others have said.... I also drive to much. I just priced out their low end with minimal add ons. 42,500 msrp. Maverick wins this one.

Definitely a nice looking truck but I never got the desire to pay that much for a full(er) sized truck that gives you less capability than an F-150.

I really like the Ridgeline, it's a much nicer truck than the Maverick. It was just a little more than I wanted to spend for what i utilize my truck for. But if honda wants to get generous with incentives, I might would trade with very little arm twisting.

You still here?
Why don’t you go find a Ridgeline forum?

You weren’t happy with your Maverick?
Fine.
We don’t care.

Go away.
Yikes on bikes my guy, calm down.

I looked at the Ridgeline last August before I ordered the Mav. Really liked it. Would have bought one except for 2 fairly important reasons.
1 - price, around here a mid-grade Ridgeline, (i.e. XLT) was $45-47K. Way more than I wanted to spend on a work truck
2 - only comes in 4 wheel drive and gas mileage is essentially the same as anything I owned 10 or 20 years ago. I drive way too many miles to buy old technology so to speak. We don't get much snow anymore so don't need 4 wheel drive either.

On the up side its a Honda so it will likely last better than a Ford

Those are very nice trucks but for me, well above what I choose to spend on a vehicle.

What is it with the "Maverick Fan Boy Cancel Culture" on this forum? The minute somebody posts something interesting (to most of us) about the Santa Cruz or Ridgeline, the knives and fangs come out Give it a rest and dial it back a notch. Some of us are interested in why people trade their Mavericks for something else (or just get tired of waiting). Go kick your dog instead (not really).

AMEN. It's ridiculous how some respond to something so trivial. Theirs lots of great vehicles out there and anyone can like or want more than one. Maverick or Ford is not at a deity or divine status. The forum member can still contribute good info and perspectives regardless if he drives a different vehicle. I guess some folks are just insecure and belligerent if someone has a different opinion.
