I was pondering this for myself, and on my XLT Lux Hybrid my out the door with sales tax, registration and fees was about $31,300, so realistically what would Carmax offer me to make the profit above that worth it? If Carmax offered me say $33k, I'd get all the money I put into it back, with a small profit. And then I'd have to get in line for a more expensive 2024.Was wonderinf

My neighbor is sales director at Carmax. Occasionally he'll ask us if we're interested in selling because he's sure he can get us ~$32k for the XLT hybrid we paid $26,200 OTD for. Similarly, we waited a year and love the truck (the radio cutting out about once a month is annoying). I really don't think we could get something else that meets our needs better for $32k other than putting in an order for a '24 and waiting again.Am coming up on a year of ownership and 6k miles and waited a year for the vehicle cant imagine selling it I like all the looks and comments I get. Only problem I've had is the radio cuts out, hopefully they can fix that when I bring it in for second oil change and all the recalls it has.
You don't typically owe any taxes or fees when you sell, o they than perhaps a small notary fee. The buyer pays all else. Was wonderinf

$40,000!Was offered 40k for mine , I paid 31k still said no , I don’t need the money I’ve owned F-150’s my hole life and this is my first vehicle in 20yrs that fits in my garage. Not mad at guy’s making money but I waited 13 months and 5-10 grand extra isn’t worth it to me.
Right! Pretty happy myself. My dealer was great too.Now that's like the complete opposite. I love my Mav. Most favorite vehicle I have ever owned and that's including jeeps and mustangs.
Am having second thoughts about doing the side airbags after all the nightmare stories I ve been reading about. My neighbor is sales director at Carmax. We're taking it in for the first oil change and all the recalls next weekend.
