In early April we sold the Maverick to our son. Due to its price point it makes a real nice vehicle for him.
I put a 2.5" lift on it and 1" spacers on front and 1.25" spacers on the back, fender flares and a tailgate damper and a prized Campagnolo sticker to the back window. I also just recently put new 245/56/17 Nexen AT tires on it.

I purchased a 2025 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss to replace the Maverick. It has a 2" lift, a 3" wider stance and 275/65/18 tires from the factory. All items are included on the factory warranty.

When transferring the stuff I had in the Maverick I have a full crate of stuff that I can't fit into the Colorado! There is NO space in the cab for anything!

I still identify the Maverick and when I see one on the road It catches my eye! They are getting more common but I ordered mine in December of 2021 and received it in Nov 2022 and at that time they were very unique.

I will likely visit here now and again, since the Maverick is still in the family, it seems like you'll are friends and it's fun to read the threads and your comments. I don't know if I'll join the Colorado forum since it is not a unique vehicle and there are so many of them on the road.

I will not say good by, but see you around!

I checked out the Colorado, it looks really nice, but was concerned about the tighter space and the step up height. I have people in my back seat regularly and I have elderly parents in their 80's now so the Maverick is pretty easy for them to get into.
Enjoy the Colorado, I have liked them since they came out.

Curious if you considered a Ranger when you were looking at the Colorado?
Yes, as I added all options to compare the Ranger was more $. I called my Ford salesperson and asked if they had one on the lot that had some of the options I wanted and she said she would check the next morning and get back with me. She didn't and we had to get things moving....hence the Colorado.

Yes, I agree and especially about the tight space and the step in height! We'll see as time goes by how that works out for us. The Maverick was so much easier to get in and out.

I traded my Silverado for the Maverick. A 2023 truck that did not have steering wheel controls for radio or hands free phone was ridiculous at 50k new. Plus the 2.7 turbo drank gas worse then the 5.0 F-150 it replaced, was noisier, rougher ride, less comfortable for me. I looked at the Colorado and passed on it based on mpg and ride height plus the cost. Good luck with your Colorado. If it fits your needs then it is the truck for you.
Agree!

I just priced a Colorado with similar features to my Lariat AWC and it was 10,000 higher than mine.

A top of the line Colorado would cost almost 6k more than my top of the line 23 maverick lariat awd bap 4k tow and could not match the 40mpg highway I get with my Ford.
I don't know why are you quoting me to tell me that?

I drive a Maverick too, I don't have a Colorado with 35s. I don't hate my $$$😆🤣🤣

I do miss the great gas mileage with the Maverick. With the oversized tires, I was getting 27+ mpg's not taking into account that the speedometer was not correct. The overall diameter of those tires were 29.5" up from I think 27" on the original scorpions.

I am getting 22+ mpg's in the Colorado with the 32's that came on it.

I do a mix of freeway and stop and go driving.

I don't blame yah, if I had 50k to throw away on a midsize truck, I'd be driving a Colorado too.. They're great looking trucks, enjoy.

Yes, a hard pill to swallow, but the price we sold the Maverick for was still a great price for our son and got us half way to the Colorado sticker price.
The Colorado is nice however I found the Maverick to be of sound quality and well designed and made.
Just curious . What made you choose the Colorado over the Ranger?

You have good taste in trucks, my friend. BTW, I'm also a son who benefitted from receiving my Dad's Maverick recently. Thank god for y'all :)
