The issue I have with these is that despite the rental car coverage in the policy, they often tell you to get your own and hope for reimbursement.

If you get the ESP plan, buy the optional exterior & interior light package. A burnt out headlamp for the Maverick is 1000+ to replace. The light package will cover replacement.
This was the only reason I got it on my Explorer. One headlight would pay for it.

I took the light plan with Flood . I was thinking the same as you mentioned which I read here on MTC also.

So, I have the PremiumCare option on my 2022 Maverick XL Ecoboost AWD. It is costing me $35 a month for my entire loan length (84 months) . It includes free oil changes every 6000 miles, and regular maintenance stuff. $ 1000 deductible on big ticket items, like engine, trans . BUT , it includes gap insurance plus for the entire loan length. Ex. In year 3 , my Maverick gets totaled out , it pays off the loan and I get my $4000 down payment back .

That sounds more like you got sold a Ford maintenance plan but third-party warranty.

Me again. I plugged the stats you mentioned into Granger. They say $1,475 for 7-year/125,000-mile plan with a $100 deductible.

Ask your dealer if they will match that.
I did Granger as well on my 22. They used my points but also found they did a false claim of a condenser repair of a $1000, and my truck has never been to Iowa🤣🤣

Yep. Especially with a $1,000 deductible......yikes. That makes it not worth submitting a warranty claim for half the stuff that would normally be covered.

Could be, but so it is working for me.
For now. You paid $2,940 with a $1,000 deductible. See how you feel when you have a bunch of $900 repairs needed that don't make a claim worth it (since your deductible is 1k).

Oh, my bad .....it's a $100 deductible. Damn keyboard on my phone is always too small 😂

I feel much better for you with that clarification! I mean.....no judgement....but a 1k deductible on a plan that cost almost 3K (albeit with some regular service/maintenance included as well as GAP coverage) is still a bit of a rip-off.

$100 deductible is probably a better deductible than I will pick. So you are better off than I will be when I go for a $250 or $500 to bring the total cost of the plan down.

I wasn't going to go for it at first but the fact that it has gap plus and my lack of wanting to deal with any BS repairs did it for me. I really want this truck to last as long as my FX4 did and my wife's Sprot Trac, which is still going ( had some early on issues with that, thank God for the extended warranty on the Sport Trac)

I have a 2023 XL Hybrid I bought from a guy with 80 miles on it. Now have 4000 on it. Can I get an extended warranty on it? If so, which one? I plan on keeping it forever.
