I use a 4 gallon 5 hp wet dry vac. Also works great for vacuum seal bags.
I keep a 20 gallon on standby ready for liquids. Previous cars almost always leaked into the cab one way or another. Half didn't even half a moonroof.
Ford is having enough trouble just keeping up with warranty work.
There is quite a difference in between restricting DIY/independent shop repair and it just being complex. Fuel injection and OBD2 was "too complex" at the time as well. The industry adapted just fine.
Still a valid point. The stop start comes on every time you start the vehicle so you would have to turn it off every time. I bet that interior gets hot pretty quick in your area.
I think the cooling systems are the same 4k or not on the hybrid from MY25 and up. They all use the same HF55...
The lightning is about 2,000 lbs. heavier than an equivalent F150. This won't be that extreme as it doesn't need as big of a battery, will be much more basic in features, and will be ground up designed for it. The new manufacturing process also sheds some weight.

It will have payload capability just like the Maverick does. Vertical force (payload) is much easier to deal with than horizontal force (towing) in a unibody.
The 2025 Toyota Sienna LE Hybrid FWD has a payload capacity of 1,560 lbs. but can only tow 3500 lbs.
The FX4 and Tremor can definitely get to places that mine cannot and the 4K can tow things that mine cannot. If you use those features regularly, then you will find value in them.
Personally, the FWD hybrid with the hitch would have been the best fit for me. The factory hitch is much cheaper...
I got mine without any tow package. The 2k stuff can be added economically later if I need it to.
Here was my logic at the time of ordering (fall 2022):
Situation
- My current ride is dying fast
- Ford has released stuff about supply constraints for the hitch
- Ford stated that not all MY23...
Uh huh. I can take some educated guesses. I think Ford had a prototype tour feedback groups. That photo from the ring finger looks exactly like one of those. That would be the supposed source of some rumors about this truck.
Such as the front end going all in on an EV look which accidentally...
That's an interesting front for an EV. Is that a bug deflector under the camo?
It's also interesting that the bed is elevated above the fenders. It's for aero reasons, but it kind of gives off a step side style bed shape.
The rear roofline is also an odd place for such heavy camo. Oh, it...
