In EV Coach, what does the blue box mean when in hybrid mode?

I think its mostly meaningless..Kind of a ohhh and ahhhh thing. The manual doesnt explain it. Others have tried to explain it but you can tell theyre just blowing hot air,,,

I have no information to back this up, but given that the blue box overlaid on the white hybrid bar shrinks as you drive, I think it represents the battery power being used in addition to the gas (to help with power and acceleration). Just a guess though.

When the ICE is running in hybrid mode it means that 1) EV mode is available (battery is sufficiently charged) and 2) reducing the throttle to approximately that amount will transition to EV mode. Although sometimes you don't entirely need to reduce throttle to that point; a rapid decrease in throttle input may also trigger it switching over or if the drive-power load low enough at lower speeds it may switch on its own. In EV mode it represents the throttle position at which the ICE will start.

In battery only mode, it's pretty easy as it's essentially the available charge and load ability before transitioning to hybrid.

In hybrid mode, I don't have a clue, because when compared to the powerflow on the Sync screen there are anomalies for the size of the bar compared to whether the truck is in hybrid mode discharging vs charging. The bar can be non-existent and powerflow will show as discharge mode. But at other times, charging. Same with the reverse.

It says Electric when in the Blue box, so that means you are running on battery.

Grasshopper read the manual, there is an EV coach to help you keep the Maverick in Elec mode more often. I found it a waste of time, as I watched the EV coach more than driving. I've owned my Hybrid now for over a year and I have a very good feel for my truck.

I think he's referring to the blue outline which is overlaid on the white "hybrid" mode bar. I've seen it pop up sometimes, but I don't know what it means specifically either. I assume it's the level of battery power being used in addition to the motor, or the level you would have to drop power to to switch to electric at that moment, but it only appears rarely and not for long.
