I finally got the dreaded dead Maverick Hybrid

mine has 9,233 miles. I cringe everytime I turn the key. just paranoid and biggest thing is my wife is still pissed I traded my Rav4 hybrid with 50k trouble free miles for this truck and I don't want to see her smug look if it breaks so soon!

In case the DC-DC converter needs to be disconnected for access. It has some liquid cooling.

Quick update for you guys: the service advisor told me that they replaced the harness and that they went ahead and replaced the hybrid battery as well. I should hopefully be getting my truck back today.

that's good. hopefully the parts don't take too long to get. given that if this happens you are dead in the water, you would think this would warrant a recall..

It's a poorly implemented 12V cable end. It just as likely could have been an issue that struck the EcoBoosts instead. I'll take it over transmission problems.

Mine was built 5/22/22. It now has 12k miles and no issue in this scenario. However, I do drive it some almost every day.

I think they did work together for a period of time especially on the eCVT. But when they did the Maverick they took the development in-house, but the design is pretty much identical.

Yours was built a week after (5/13/22) the cable end construction was supposedly addressed at least according to the TSB.

Ford took the AISIN design in-house a decade ago (2013). Maverick just has the latest version. Or you may be referring to them taking the manufacturing fully in-house I think that's more recent; Ford created that giant transmission plant.

so looks like a week to fix because of parts? I was thinking of buying the part myself to have handy and sell back if it goes!
