ThanxThe dealer should sell it at the price when you ordered not what it is when it comes in.
I sense a fight brewing. Hoping YOU WIN. Good Luck.Just got my window sticker. It shows a $400 increase in base price and a $100 increase in delivery charge. Dealer says Ford is not offering price protection any more and that is why they offered the $2750 special offer for the 2022s with VIN that were converted to 2023 model year. But @fordvideoguy says it should be sold at the price when I ordered. Which is the 2023 model year xltbase price of $24445, not the $28885 price.
I don't know which is correct. I wish someone could tell me. Am I protected from my time of VIN rollover reorder (Nov 14 2022) or is Ford allowed to raise the price on me after I order? The special offer was made because of the price increase from my initial order. Should have nothing to do with this order and price increase after the order.I sense a fight brewing. Hoping YOU WIN. Good Luck.
Does the price protection apply if you make changes to your order? I just tried to remove the hitch from my order and my dealer says I have to pay the extra $500 if I do.Effective today, all trims had a price increase of $400 and Destination and Delivery increase of $100. You should be price protected by your dealer if they COVP'd your order. The person who ordered the vehicle needs to be the person who buys it to get price protection. I would request the DORA sheet from the time you ordered from your dealers. If they don't have it, they can be reprinted by the General Sales Manager or Inventory Manager.
Yep, and then time to hunt for something differentI don’t believe Ford will offer rollovers for 2024, this means that if you don’t get your maverick this year then you have to re order and pay the new price, which will probably go up again.
Agreed, hoping the new Gen Tacoma is good. Will definitely jump on that.Yep, and then time to hunt for something different
According to Ford, no. Only changing the body code will lose your price protection.Does the price protection apply if you make changes to your order? I just tried to remove the hitch from my order and my dealer says I have to pay the extra $500 if I do.
Thanks Tim! So, is it safe for me to sign the new summary with the increased price?... or should I request one with the old price, minus the hitch?According to Ford, no. Only changing the body code will lose your price protection.
The sheet will show the price increase because that is the price now but the dealer should honor the original price and take off the amount for the hitch removal. I know what Ford will do and request dealer to do but if doesn't mean the dealer will follow through. Thanks Tim! So, is it safe for me to sign the new summary with the increased price?... or should I request one with the old price, minus the hitch?
AND... thanks for all your YouTube content... I watch regularly.

Just to confirm changing the body code would be going from a hybrid to an EB or vice versa correct? I have an XLT EB on order and I want to drop the BAP and add the Lux pkg. If I make that change I should still be price protected correct?According to Ford, no. Only changing the body code will lose your price protection.
