I'm scheduled ... I removed the hitch from my order about a week ago. I can't say for sure it made a difference, and I don't know if I'd suggest anyone else try it, but I can't believe this is a total coincidence.

🛻 XLT Hybrid in cactus...
Thanks Tim! So, is it safe for me to sign the new summary with the increased price?... or should I request one with the old price, minus the hitch?
AND... thanks for all your YouTube content... I watch regularly.
Thanks, I hope you're right. Still waiting to hear back from my dealer. I haven't signed the new order yet, so I'm still locked in at the old price... with the hitch. I won't sign a new order (sans hitch) till I know the price increases won't apply.
Does the price protection apply if you make changes to your order? I just tried to remove the hitch from my order and my dealer says I have to pay the extra $500 if I do.
I ordered my hybrid maverick XLT in September '22. MSRP was $24,455 and delivery was $1,495. I just called my dealer to remove the trailer hitch hoping that it would help get my order scheduled. He sent over a new order summary and now MSRP is $24,855 and delivery is $1,595. When did prices go...
I don't think they're including a trailer control module with every hitch? That seems like something that would only be included with the full 4K tow package. A stand alone hitch (with wiring harness) shouldn't be an issue. I guess they're just prioritizing the tow packages. Hopefully when they...
Yeah, I forgot about the 4-pin harness. That's a good point. Still seems like a strange part to be lacking. I wonder what the supplier is constrained by. A 22% shortfall is a lot when you have a contract with one of the biggest truck companies in the world.
I wonder why the tow hitch is a constraint. Seems like a pretty straight forward option. No electronics, no rare minerals. Ford should be able to crank those out as needed.
Hmmm ... 7 emails = 315 days = ~10.5 months. Assuming that started on 9/15/22, That would put 7 emails at August.... sounds about right. I'd bet under if it was an Ecoboost, but I'm figuring hoping to get my hybrid XLT late July - early August too.
Ordered my '23 Hybrid on 9/15/22 with confirmation email on 9/16/22.
Got the first "delay" email on 11/1/22 with the 45 day update promise.
Got the update email on 12/16/22 with no change in status, but also no mention of a future update email.
Another 45 days would be 1/30/23. Should I be...
Right, the amount of energy captured by the regenerative breaking will be less than the energy put into the truck to get up to previous speed. So not "indefinitely" meaning unlimited, but "indefinitely" meaning unspecified.
Thank you everyone for your answers.
Looking at it from another point of view... it's actually pretty impressive to think a battery that can only power the the truck for <2mi on its own is able to supplement the engine enough to achieve 40+ mpg. Never thought I'd find a truck with better gas...
Sorry if this topic is posted somewhere else. I looked and didn't see anything. Maybe I just don't know what keywords to use :-/
I've heard from a couple different sources that when driving the hybrid maverick, it operates on battery alone if you keep the needle on the power meter below 10%...
