I have a clarification question I am hoping someone can help me with. My 2022 Lariat Hybrid is back in the shop for the second time with the "No Crank/No Start" problem. The first time the shop checked the harness and said that there were no problems with it but the battery was low, which caused the problem. They charged the battery, checked the charging system, and sent me on my way.
2 weeks later, after every drive, I would get the "Deep Sleep" notification as soon as I shut off the car. Then on Sunday, I went out to get in the truck and it was completely dead again. I was able to jump it to get it out of the garage and back on the tow truck to go to the dealer. Today, they called me and said that after charging the battery overnight that it tested bad and that they are replacing it with a new one. Once they get the new battery they are going to work on diagnosing the rest of the trouble codes in the system and finally after 2 previous attempts hopefully, they are going to complete the airbag recall.
My question is, in every other car I have owned when the battery is low you still get some power, but both times with this the car has been completely dead, with no lights, radio etc. Is it normal for a low battery in a hybrid to mean no power to anything?
I have had the truck since March of 2022, and it has been in the shop 6 times now for problems. I am trying to figure out if it is an issue with my dealership or if it's truly problems with my truck.

IMHO, sounds like a bad cable. The battery is shot because it has been depleted and not properly charged.

I have the "Deep Sleep" syndrome and I like your bad cable theory. Now I understand the cable problem. I have a battery charging meter in the cigarette lighter. Always charging over 15.2 volts. Battery not charging or holding charge. Cable. Brilliant.

I got it every day for 2 weeks and didn't have any problems starting the truck until Sunday when it was completely dead.

Could be issues with the truck. Hybrids built in the second half of 2022 and into 2023 are rock solid. But those early hybrid builds apparently have some issues with the wiring harness and 12V batteries dying.

My battery on my hybrid failed at just less than one year - was replaced under warranty, but I am not convinced there isn't a parasitic draw on the battery. I have been watching these threads, and I think I will shut down my wifi/connected data to see if that helps....

If you suspect it is the harness (which is likely), you may want to measure and record the voltage at the battery vs. the underhood jump points. They should be close if not equal. Anything significantly lower under the hood is suspicious. I made a single 10 guage jumper cable to jump mine from it's own battery. It will be hard for them to argue that one on "parasitic draw".

The issues with these trucks is ridiculous! So many new low mileage vehicles with problems. Mine has been sitting in service for over 3 weeks. They finally diagnosed it as a bad damper (after 3 attempts) and now waiting for parts. The outlook of these trucks is not looking good. I’m gonna see what carmax offers me after I get it back, whenever that is.

I agree, I got a call that mine is ready to be picked up. They said that they replaced the battery and that it isn't having any problems anymore. We will see what they say when I go to pick it up, but I don't have a lot of faith in them at this point

They told me that mine was due to a parasitic draw from an aftermarket subwoofer (that had been in the vehicle trouble-free for 15,000+ miles and 9 months). Anyhow, they disconnected it and sent me on my way. The problem has recurred several times and the "parasite" was never reconnected.

They haven't been helpful since, nor was The Official Ford Account helpful either, they just collected information.

I really do love the truck when it is working, but my frustration level with the truck, my dealership, and Ford is getting to be too much. I got a great offer from Carvana for the truck (almost 10K more than I paid for it) I am strongly considering jumping ship at this point, but I am really torn on what to do. When the truck works it's great, but in the 10 months I have had it is has spent 5 weeks in the shop, and every time I go to drive it, I am worried it will be dead again.

I guess what I would say is 1 ) get a portable jump starter if you " am worried it will be dead again."
2) yes possibly wait a while before dumping it on the dealer as most issues aren't isolated and it takes a bit for the TSBs to filter to the dealers ( if yours even reads those ) - and 3) if it is too much by all means take the profit and get something else.

My truck has had a deep sleep problem for the past few months but Im waiting a bit to drop it off due to the fact it is a greatly reported problem and there will be procedures that address that common problem.

Mine is in deep sleep 99% of the time even with wifi and all connectivity turned off (I know it's still going into deep sleep because the interior lights and dash do not come on). Luckily it still starts. Only time it seems ok for about a day or 2 is after driving it 20+ miles. Also the only other time it lasted a week was when I did the radio software update and had my Mav on for an hour.
