Jiffy Lube uses a pump to remove the oil? That's why I don't go to Jiffy Lube anymore.
Yup.Jiffy Lube uses a pump to remove the oil?
I've had my hybrid truck for 10 months and just crossed over 10K miles. According to Ford's manual the computer will determine when the oil needs to be changed. This is likely to happen between 7500 and 10,000 miles. However I've got nothing. Now I found an article that says depending how I drive, it may be up to 15K. (Yes I drive a lot on electric (around town) and seldom do freeway speeds.) Your thoughts.Put right over 3k on my Maverick since picking her up in mid January, and, with the smaller factory filter thought I'd go ahead and change it a little early. Procedure is straight forward, even with the bajillion T27 fasteners you need to remove to take the splash shield down. Threw on a Motorcraft FL910S and filled her up with 5.5 qts of Valvoline 0W-20. All in all pretty productive morning and even got to put my new DeWalt 3/8 socket set from Costco to work. Definitely didn't need it, but a great buy at $20 and takes up less space then my Husky that I kept behind the backseat.

Do what works for you. I’ve got a little over 17k on mine now, I drive a lot of interstate and non-stop and go traffic. I also live in a hot climate where temps routinely go over 100 for weeks at a time. Our summer pretty much runs 9 months out of the year, so I change mine around 5k - 6k, and while it may be premature, I’ll be keeping this vehicle for at least a decade and to me an ounce of prevention is most assuredly worth more than a pound of cure.I've had my hybrid truck for 10 months and just crossed over 10K miles. I'll be changing mine every 10k, which also coincides with the maintenance schedule in the Ford Pass app. Did my first change at 4k.I've had my hybrid truck for 10 months and just crossed over 10K miles. Very useful information. Thanks for sharing. I'd be interested in seeing a pict of your DeWalt socket set, too.Put right over 3k on my Maverick since picking her up in mid January, and, with the smaller factory filter thought I'd go ahead and change it a little early. Thanks for the photos and information! This is tool porn! I like the DeWalt quality: small enough to store under the seat or in the bed.Appreciate the comment.
This is the set I bought at Costco, $20 on sale I believe. Didn’t need it, but couldn’t say no for the money. I’ve taken them out of the storage container and got them on rails in my box. I’ve found them to be good quality and picked up the deep wells in both 3/8 and 1/4” on Amazon.![]()
