Hey guys! I’m still waiting for my 23’ hot
Pepper red xlt be built but in the meantime need to start getting some quotes for car insurance. What are people using and where are you guys finding decent quotes for a brand new spankin Maverick?
Congrats on the pending Maverick (it is worth the wait) and Greetings from blizzard covered- sub zero temperature eastern Iowa. Depending on the deductible and the limits, and the fact you are in California, (currently wish I was there during this Blizzard!) I can only give you my costs here in Iowa. $744 per year, coverage is $500 deductible for collision, $250 for non-collision. Coverage provided by West Bend Mutual and under written by my local independent agent. I have always used my local agent who under writes for dozens of insurers. Plus 1 call to him if there is an issue and he picks up phone, or his secretary picks up. My point is when there is a rare occurrence of an incident,--- one call, a human voice, and a "we will take care of it" is worth paying a few bucks more a month. Good luck on your rate search.

I'm a 61-year-old driver with a spotless record, living in rural upstate NY. I pay $478/6 months to GEICO.

I've been with them since I was 25, back in the days when you had to be a government employee (I was in the Navy then), a safe driver, and at least 25 years of age to get a policy with Government Employees Insurance Company (lots of folks aren't aware that's their name).

For my 2020 Escape SEL: $267.24 USD per 6/mo. Full coverage with a $1,000 deductible including uninsured motorist. I work from home and since I use the beacon, I get a discount based on my driving habits, low mileage, and lack of accidents. I get a multi-line and multi-vehicle discount and I also have an umbrella policy that reduces the liability cost.

My insurance agent told me the Maverick as ordered will be nearly identical since the safety features will be about the same.

Hello Jewels, I am in Riverside, approx 2 hours from San Diego. I often drive to Carlsbad (maybe twice every month) to help my son with his apartment. I am paying $54.50/month for my Maverick through AAA (I have high coverage of $ 100k/$ 300k). I get a good discount from AAA because I also have house insurance, a multi-car discount, etc, etc. (I have AAA insurance on the house, auto, and even life insurance).

BUT, for my son's auto insurance, I am paying $184/per month. His car is Dodge Charger. He's 23. He had some speeding tickets in the past. The last time he was caught at 97 mph on Interstate 15 in San Diego by a CHP officer. Last week, he showed up online for a traffic hearing. The judge dismissed my son (and all others who showed up for their hearings) because the CHP officers didn't show up. My son was so lucky.

Anyway, if you own a house and other vehicles, go with AAA for best quotes.

Insurance here in Canada is expensive unfortunately. Fewer people equals higher prices, just the way things work. I pay it all at once, since it's cheaper, but it comes out to around $122 a month ($3 million liability + all of the above, under/uninsured coverage and replacement cost coverage). I also get all kinds of discounts, I get ECO discounts, hybrid discount, membership discounts and so on.

Thanks for that great info! You would think the same coverage you’ve been using for your other vehicle would give some type of “loyal customer discount” or something. I’ll check with progressive for sure 🤟🏽
I've had Progressive for 10 years now on my Jeep Grand Cherokee, so I get a loyalty discount but called them and asked how much to add my Maverick to existing policy with same minimal legally required coverage. It added 59 cents to my just renewed 6-month term. Both of my vehicles are paid in full which allows the lower coverage requirements with no lien holder. I think my premium is $219.00 every 6 months for basic coverage based on low annual mileage and not having any driving violations for more than 5 years. YMMV...

$125/mo in PA near Philly. But I will qualify that to say that I probably have higher coverage levels than most carry. EG, $0 deductible on comprehensive. Who wants to pay anything if you get a chipped window or someone scratches your car in a packing lot (which has happened already)?
