  1. A.R.E. V Series Truck Cap installed

That's what I was wondering the first time I saw it. I live in the Northeast. I wondered if snow filled that area, partially melted, and refroze, could expansion break the cap or truck window? It just doesn't seem like the right fit at all.
  2. Oh no... battery or BMS trouble?

    (y) I drove a total of more than two hours since the battery was replaced and before the Maverick sat for a few days, so I'm assuming it was fully charged. I forgot to do the BMS reset today... I'll try to remember to do it tomorrow!
  3. Oh no... battery or BMS trouble?

The dealership installed a new Motorcraft brand AGM battery at no cost to me. I have no idea if they did a BMS reset. I'll do one tomorrow. I did one previous to my visit to the dealer (actually, a few) and it didn't help.
  4. Oh no... battery or BMS trouble?

And... the new AGM battery the dealer installed did not fix the issue. After sitting for four days, the Maverick went into battery-saving mode, with no exterior or interior lights not coming on when I unlocked the truck.
  5. Why no accesories ready to plug into the bed wiring?

By quoting me, it sure seems you're implying that I'd be that guy who would complain about costs and that I'm not willing to pay people for their time. Have we met?
  6. Why no accesories ready to plug into the bed wiring?

Mine was in a plastic bag under the rear seat along with a front license plate bracket and maybe some paperwork or the manual?
  7. Why no accesories ready to plug into the bed wiring?

Hey now! Are you trying to make me look like a weenie? ;) I deserve it for being a crybaby. I am capable of wiring up a couple of 12V sockets in the bed. I just got done doing a whole bunch of soldering, adding Anderson Power Poles to some ham radio stuff. I just wish I could order the...
  8. Why no accesories ready to plug into the bed wiring?

In other words, the plugs offers no real convenience... you still have to solder/wire nut/tape the connections. We all get a pigtail with our Maverick. First, go to the trouble of soldering on your accessory and then it conveniently plugs in to the truck. Kind of like dehydrated water...
  9. Why no accesories ready to plug into the bed wiring?

Ford makes a big deal out of the convenient power taps terminated near the tailgate on both sides of the bed. How come no one is selling direct plug-in accessories? If I want to add a couple of 12V DC power sockets to the bed, I have to buy the sockets, buy the pigtails, wire them together...
  10. Tonneau Cover Buying Guide

The only place my hard folding (BAK BAKFlip MX4) tonneau leaks at all is at the rear corners, which is actually the tailgate leaking. I need to add those tailgate seals. BTW... I live in upstate NY (not the desert). ;)
  11. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANY MAVERICK OWNERS MAKING MODS LIKE THIS

I have a buddy who re-logos items for fun. He bought an awesome Swarovski spotting scope ($$$$) and put the logo from a cheap Tasco on it to mess with his bird-watching buddies. He also put an authentic BMW logo on the outboard engine of his boat. It draws a lot of puzzled looks and...
  12. Oh no... battery or BMS trouble?

I never looked closely at the one that was in it originally. There's a shiny new AGM battery under the hood now. (y)
  13. Oh no... battery or BMS trouble?

The dealership (Autosaver Ford in Comstock, NY) completed my recall and checked on my BMS/battery issue. They replaced my battery and said they'd contact me in a week or so to see if that fixes the problem. Bob
  14. Oh no... battery or BMS trouble?

Nope... happened again. But I received my recall notice in the mail yesterday. I'll make an appointment at the dealership to have the recall work down and also have the battery/BMS issue checked out.
  15. What's your Maverick towing?âť“Show & Tell

Looks like a truck, doing truck stuff! (y)
  16. What's your Maverick towing?âť“Show & Tell

Nice taste in canoes! I have a pair of Bells, both David Yost designs. He designed some/all of the Placid Boatworks canoes also, right? The Placid Shadow is very similar to my Bell Magic.
  17. Mud / salt / debris trap

Indeed. It's my real concern with the Maverick after seeing the same image as above within a few weeks of owning mine. Not good for upstate NY winters or anywhere, for that matter. Even if you don't live where salt is dumped on the roads all winter, the dirt and debris that gets thrown up...
