I've had sh_tbox cars from my early years to luxury cars in my later years. I decided to go back to a no frills basic vehicle because you will become intimately familiar with one of the automotive cardinal rules - The more sh_t you have, the more sh_t that can break. I embrace simplicity in my...
Here is a screen shot of my filtered "OUTAGES." Again, I only disabled the REAR STOP BULB OUTAGE. I wish I would have looked at what was enabled/disabled before the recall flash.
I'm sure there is someone near you with FORScan that would be willing to help you out if you don't already have it. It can be done in a couple minutes.
Using FORScan, I only had to disable REAR STOP BULB OUTAGE in the BCM Module to eliminate the Hyperflashing. I will keep it this way until a better fix is available.
If any of you have the LASFIT bulbs and are experiencing hyperflashing on your dash after the recall update, I only had to disable REAR STOP BULB OUTAGE in the BCM Module to eliminate the Hyperflashing. I will keep it this way until a better fix is available.
There are plenty of videos/tutorials on YouTube. It’s not very hard at all. You will need to have a laptop, OBD2 cable, and FORScan free trial or subscription.
You will need to use FORScan and disable TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR in the BCM module. I upgraded to a different set of tires and didn't want the damn things. You will not get the warning light and the readings wont be present.
Mavman321,
Has your vehicle received the BCM Recall flash? If yes, did disabling the highlighted items above eliminate the hyperflash? I'm wondering if the FRONT OUTAGES are necessary to disable since it appears to be a rear light issue. I appreciate any feedback.
My 22' XL will be going in this Friday. Looks like I will likely have to reprogram my Cruise Control and TPMS disable after the recall fix. I'll just laugh if they mention anything about my LED's, Auto Start/Stop Eliminator, and Catch Can. 🤣
It's not a big deal to me since they have remote start and lock/unlock from the Ford App. Unless of course you are in the deep thickets of nature with no cell service.
