Crappy backup camera.

Camera is hard to see, dark even on sunlit days. Comparing it to my 2022 Nissan Leaf camera, Ford should be ashamed. Any ideas, the lens is clean..??Thanks, Ted

It's certainly not high def as far as resolution goes, but I've never had an issue with brightness. What trim level do you have? XL and XLT owners seem to complain a lot about the infotainment screen being dim generally, but lariat owners don't have issues in that regard

I agree. It's crap. The back-up assist only works most of the time too. The sensors don't seem to work consistently either, as I almost ran over a lady with a shopping cart at the grocery store the other day.
Lesson is: Use your eyes. Do not trust truck!

It works ok..... back up cameras even on Escapes are much better.

Anyone compare Lariat to XLT & XL? I have an XLT....the non-Sync 3 may be why it is so much worse than other Fords. My mother and brother have 22 Escape hybrids and their back-up cameras are much clearer than my Maverick hybrid.

Don't want to jinx myself, but so far, zero issues or complaints with my display and camera, nor anything else with the truck, extremely pleased. Hope ya get things sorted out.

It’s not great, but not horrible to the point of dangerous. I think the backup camera was one of the many costs cut. I still love my truck!

Is it the camera or really just the screen? I actually like the image the camera produces. Unlike the distorted fish eye view my Chevy Bolt's camera gives me, the Maverick at least gives me an accurate image. I have no problem using the guide lines to back up perfectly In the tight space I have to park it.

I also question those sensors. The truck never beeps at me as I back up to my neighbors fence. The cross traffic sensors have gone off a few times, but not when I am backing straight back. Does the maverick have back up sensors or just cross traffic?

FWIW: we have a 2018 F-150 XL and the display for back up camera is in the standard stereo! The Maverick 8" screen camera view is 1000 times better than the F-150! The zoom feature is absolutely giant by comparison. Have not had a problem with either resolution or brightness in my XL.

I think you have to have the Lariat Luxury Package for the Rear Parking Sensors

These are two separate features that require different packages.

Cross-traffic alert is included with BLIS as part of the optional Co-Pilot360 package on any trim level. This gives you the alert if there is traffic approaching from the side, behind the vehicle, while in reverse.

Rear Parking Sensors requires Lariat Luxury Package. These are the ones that tell you when you're getting close to something.
