Backup Camera Blues

On my 2023 Mav XLT's touchscreen, the backup camera gives no warnings, audible or visual.
That being said, Is there a setting somewhere, I am obviously unable to locate, thanks for any help you can offer.

There is no setting or alert. You would have needed to buy a Lariat with Luxury Package and CoPilot 360 Assist for proximity backup sensors.

If you got an XLT with the Co-Pilot360 then there should be cross traffic alert that work with the rear camera.

I just carry an air horn for when my wife drives and as she is backing up and starts to get close I blast the horn. I wonder why she wont let me near the Maverick any more....

I rented a Chrysler Pacifica for work a few days ago and the backup camera alert was so loud and annoying I thought I was going to get a heart attack.

When backing my XL with Co-Pilot 360, I get a cross traffic audio alert and the touchscreen visually alerts me of the direction.

I think the alien spaceship noise is the one the regenerative braking makes. The back up one is just a ding ding ding to me.

I'm hoping the 2025 redesign will make (after you pay of course) more nice safety things available on higher trims or packages. The Maverick is honestly pretty sad compared to the state of the art, even for cheaper vehicles. All around, honestly. Crappy infotainment, crappy camera, crappy standard safety equipment. Even CP360, while better than nothing, is pretty sad.

I get it - all that stuff costs money, and the Maverick is the ultimate bargain bin car. So I'm hoping none of this stuff is on the base, but it's all available as upgrades.

The only alert, if you ordered the Co-Pilot 360, is the cross traffic alert. If you are backing up and someone drives behind you an audible alert will sound. You also have to activate the 360 with the button on the end of the turn signal stalk.

The button is only for the lane-keeping component of CP360.

Try it and have someone drive behind you. It only works when the 360 button is activated.
