Because I am not in town I went through GM of dealership. Got my build sheet, order number and order conformation from Ford on 9/13. Good to know Management Cares.

Yes, exactly with Chapman Scottsdale. They did not pass on our information to Ford. Therefore nothing in writing from Ford. I called Ford and got a verbal that they had an order based on the number I got from Chapman.

Talked to dealer today. No real info on my order, but I was told there'd be a Mav on hand in a couple weeks to view/drive at Chapman in Scottsdale. Didn't get an exact date or time, but was told I'd get an email letting me know. So that's exciting I guess.

Don't hold your breath that you will get an email... I wrote my dealer (Rodeo Ford) and the person who I have been working with quoted me the same BS that no Hybrids are being built at this time. I haven't written them back to inform them that they are building them.

I placed my order through Chapman in Scottsdale on 6/9, no email order conformation from Ford. Contacted Ford to provide my email and was told my sales code was incorrect and the truck was ordered. Left a message but am not receiving return communication from my sales person regarding progress updates??
I’d bypass sales person and head to mgr… Hopefully there’s a good customer service somewhere at CHAPMAN

I placed an order with Surprise Ford on 7/13. A few weeks later they emailed me and said my order had been accepted. All the interaction was either email or over the phone. They didn't ask for a copy of my drivers license and there was no deposit required. They said they would not charge over MSRP but I have nothing in writing to that effect. I ordered a hybrid XLT so not to hopeful about getting one before the end of the year. I haven't received any kind of confirmation from Ford. I did ask Surprise Ford if they could add my email to the build order and they said they would look into that.

I had to give a copy of Dl and put $500 down, 100 for ford and 400 to what I only can expect is some kind of "good faith" offering to the dealer. All refundable (supposedly). You should have received the Ford email after the order was submitted though. As for what you'll be charged, look out for tacked on dealer accessories. I don't have a DORA but i do have at least a sheet with the pricing printed out on it. Hate to be negative, but you and I should be very much on the lookout for some shady dealer stuff when and if the truck actually arrives.
