  1. Highway vs. city MPG experiment today - here's the results! (2022 Hybrid Lariat)

That ride has had a good life, giving you that many miles! Being that the Mav is on an escape chassis, it really does give the feel of driving a car rather than a truck, especially coming from an F150. And I'm sure you know the feeling, being that you own both!
  2. Highway vs. city MPG experiment today - here's the results! (2022 Hybrid Lariat)

4 pushes of that button to ECO mode, every single time ....
  3. Highway vs. city MPG experiment today - here's the results! (2022 Hybrid Lariat)

We bought the wife a new Fusion Hybrid in 2011, which she drove for 6 yrs before she went to an Edge. At that point I sold my 06 F150 to a buddy, and started driving her hybrid Fusion. Nice car actually, and I was getting 40 mpg out of that. I just missed having the utility of a PU. So when Ford...
  4. Highway vs. city MPG experiment today - here's the results! (2022 Hybrid Lariat)

Similarities in our spouses LoL. My wife has a 2025 Tucson Hybrid fully loaded, and AWD. So many bells and whistles, like side view cameras displaying on the dash when someone is in the blind spot. She gets about 32-34 mpg, however she pays no attention to babying the gas pedal and prefers...
  5. Highway vs. city MPG experiment today - here's the results! (2022 Hybrid Lariat)

Been a while since I posted, so I thought I'd share this little experiment I did today. Here's my baseline first: 2022 Maverick Lariat Hybrid 15,000 miles (I don't get out much) Overall mpg on the display, never reset since Feb / 2022 is 47.8 ECO mode only (and always) Drove to my step...
  6. New recall letter Customer Satisfaction program 24N04 EGHR system failure

Yepper, got this one yesterday also. Put it on file with the 10 year motor failure one hehe. At least I haven't had any deep sleeps in almost 2 weeks, since I had the AGM battery installed ... Yes, lots of hassles, but at the end of the day, I still smile when I hop in that drivers seat :)
  7. Ford Facing Another Lawsuit Over Bronco Sport And Maverick Problems

Ok, so it's been a week since I replaced the lead acid factory battery with the AGM battery. I noticed something unusual, but first let me back track a bit .... My mileage through most of the time I've owned my '22 Lariat has been around 47 MPG, and the miles until empty had reached near 700 at...
  8. Ford Facing Another Lawsuit Over Bronco Sport And Maverick Problems

Just so I know for future reference, where is fuse 11/12 located at? Appreciate the tips!
  9. Ford Facing Another Lawsuit Over Bronco Sport And Maverick Problems

Well I've been getting regular deep sleep notices in my '22 Lariat Hybrid, and it's not driven as much as many of you folks. I have 12,600 miles on mine. I was over my 3 year warranty on my lead acid battery, and decided to go this route as an experiment. I had the dealer load test the battery...
  10. Recall: 25S02 12V BATTERY INSPECTION

So.... I have an early release of the '22 Lariat Hybrid, and I don't exactly drive it a lot. 12,300 miles and will have had it 3 years next month. I get the sleep mode / drive the truck warnings rather regularly, and it's definitely annoying to say the least. I sure hope Ford plans on addressing...
  11. No Keypad code with manual...

Wow and just like that, I found the answer on the inter web: Passenger side floor board and up under the dash a bit, there is a removable plastic panel that covers fuses and some electrical. There is a label in there that has the factory master keypad code!
  12. No Keypad code with manual...

After almost 3 years of owning my '22 Lariat Hybrid, I've come to realize I wasn't given or don't have the keypad master code .... So it has push button start, and I've seen the video where you use the 2 sets of fobs to get the code to briefly pop up on the dash screen. My question to someone...
  13. Sooo close to being in the 700 club this morning!

Now that our arizona temps are back to normal, my mileage has been rising. Yesterday I got my MPG up to 48.1 and I was at 1/2 tank, so this morning I was stoked. went to Costco and filled up ..... 4 miles short! 696 miles to empty. Next tank I should be there hehe Any others already in the 700...
  14. What Apple CarPlay wireless devices are you using successfully?

Initial report: The dongle connected right up to my iPhone as it should, worked great with Maps, Siri, and played music from my phone. I'm no power user by any means, but so far it's doing exactly what I wanted it to do ... wirelessly
  15. What Apple CarPlay wireless devices are you using successfully?

Well I went with this device due to its micro size, and I literally just installed it. It installed easily, and preliminary tests of using Siri and playing some Deep Purple tunes while looking at Maps for a pretend destination, all went fine. I'll give it a few days and then do a follow up, but...
  16. What Apple CarPlay wireless devices are you using successfully?

I'm researching Apple CarPlay wireless devices on Amazon, and I thought it would be a good idea to ask here. Talking about a device that plugs into the USB C on my Lariat 2022 Maverick Hybrid, and connects via Bluetooth to my iPhone, thus eliminating having to plug cables in. Usage would be...
  17. Sold Fusion hybrid for my Mav, his EV battery died the 1st week

Yes ... this is in fact a real thing with that Fusion Hybrid! Bought the wife a new 2011 Fusion Hybrid and she drove it for 6 years before I sold my F150 and we bought her a new Edge. I then took her Fusion. In 2021 (10 yrs) the EV system started faltering. I did some research and found a guy...
  18. It's Happening. NHTSA 23V380

Ah yes ... Just spoke to my local shop and they explained they are a sealed Gel technology, new style, and handle the modern electronics heavy vehicles better. and ah ya .... $369 + tax for the Interstate version of the AGM for my '22 Mav Hybrid. Costco is always a good go-to, so I looked up the...
