Well, I finally have my Ford Maverick hybrid in my driveway after 1 year & 21 days now. My sales person at Serra Ford of Rochester Hills, MI was great! Purchased the Maverick at our agreed price (MSRP), 36 months @ 0% with only 500 down (free money) and most importantly no pressure to buy any extra add on!

I'm pretty impressed with the Hybrid, the sound system is OK for my aging ears, a bit loud when the engine kicks in, kind of don't like that I have to keep switching the drive mode at startup (sounds like a simple programing change to keep it in the last driving mode at each startup), the interior is good for what I paid for it and great value for a little truck!

Now I just have to install my Ford hard roll up tonneau cover, the elevated rack (this should be in tomorrow) and do some research for undercoating.

Nice! Congratulations. By the way... my maple leaves are dropped and gone. We are just getting through the oak leaves now :)

Went to see the dealer yesterday. I've been rolled over to a 23 with a build week of 1/9. He said that he couldn't pull up an order number or VIN as the 2.5l motor is the current constraint item. Not sure about that one. I am of the belief that the 1/9 date is another "place marker" as the December date was. After a call to their regional rep, he said that more should be forthcoming around 11/9.
I agree 1/9 is just a placeholder date. Consider the other was for Christmas week. Now this one is just on the other side of New Year's week. I don't think Ford is going to be at max production or planning much during those weeks.
Hoping that all of us forced roll-overs get to sign the 2023 order conversion within a couple of weeks. Also hoping we get squeezed in close to the front of the line in January (or February!!).

Still waiting on any news on my order, hoping for spring.

I realized that since I've ordered my Maverick, we've had a Top Gun II and the Queen of England died. I should set my weather app for hell to check for falling temperatures.

Well, time to spin the "wheel of delivery" one more time. First it was 10/24, then it was 11/3. Still sitting in Delaware waiting for a truck driver. With the impending diesel fuel shortage, I'm fearing it's only going to get worse. And yes, I'm eternally grateful it's built and on its way, but I'm just ready for this whole thing to be done. Mainly having to go through the whole process with the dealership, which should go smoothly, but with them... you never know. Okay, I'm done. Thanks for listening.

Added full exterior LED conversion from Lasfit and black Maverick lettering to mine. 1,600 miles now and leaving for a 2,000 trip this next week.

Now in this pic it does look like there's some orange there. When I saw a Mav in the showroom with dark cars it looked like School Bus Yellow. Wonder where I should mount my Ranchero emblem?

Congrats and enjoy!
Have my Lariat Lux Hybrid for 1.5 weeks, yesterday got 49 MPG on an ll mile drive to 7-11 and back, actually was on battery at 50 mph for a short time. Learning how to work the hybrid gauges to maximize mpg.

Picked up my truck on Halloween, been installing my shed full of parts all week! Still a few to go, but am waiting for the garage and ceramic coating...

First impressions are that the truck was so with the wait!! 49.7 mpg on the 24 mile drive home; rural roads, no interstate, slippery mode. Very quiet, very comfortable, and doesn't feel cheap at all (it is a lariat, to be fair). Like everyone else, I wish it turned back on in the mode it was turned off in, there is the hybrid brake grab (but no hood shake)... Also, the door handle leaves a bit to be desired. It feels stubby and is placed a little too close to the front/hinge end of the door making it feel a little unnatural when opening and closing the door. Otherwise, plenty of power, room, and feels very solid at 85+mph.

Updates include:
Blacked out emblems (Etsy)
Reflective red carbon lettering (Etsy)
Tailgate damper
Envelope style cargo net (highly recommend)
Truxedo pro x 15 tonneau cover
Weathertec lamp guards
Lasfit LED exterior lights throughout
Push start button decal (Etsy)
Jeffrey Lebowski passenger (Etsy)
Console organizer

To be installed:
Ceramic coating
Undercoating
Rokbloks mud flaps
Weathertec bug/stone deflector
Fender guards
Wireless Android auto adapter

I'm sure there will be other add-ons!

In some light it does look yellow, but lots of times it looks orange. It is just not the orange you might find on, say, a new WRX. But this tricoat is pretty high quality and has great depth.

Looks like I whined too soon. Dealer called me late Saturday that it was in. I pick it up tomorrow (Monday). So, keep the faith my friends.

Stopped by my dealership just for grins since it's so close to my house to ask my salesman why my hybrid has been sitting at Wayne assembly for the past 11 days and counting.

He looked it up in the system and confirmed it's at Wayne assembly (MI) and ready to be shipped. Now here is the kicker, he doesn't know why it's not being shipped but he did see the ETA on the delivery will now be between Nov 26 - Dec 2. The frustrating part is not knowing why is it just sitting there.

At this point I kind of wish it I would have been delayed and built as a 2023. It would be nice if we knew why it's just sitting at Wayne assembly. Oh well, like I said before, it is what it is.
My hybrid has been sitting at the Wayne lot for over 5 weeks. Dealer told me it should be delivered this week, but I'm not holding my breath.... The strangest part is the online system shows it taking one week to travel from Wayne, Mi to Dearborn Heights. Makes no sense at all. Nov 9 will be 14 months since I ordered it. A long, long wait :)

Got mine on Saturday (11/5/22). Really pleased w/ the new ride, here is my how my order went through the process.
Ford Maverick October Hybrid Orders United 1667826193494

Not sure why the order and ship date didn't update, but i ordered on 10/16/2021 then got the email from ford that it shipped 10/13/2022. I called my dealer on 10/29/2022 and they said it was in Lordstown OH, and usually took a week or more. They called me Nov 2 to tell me it was at the dealer.

I just... I don't even know WTF is going on any more.

Support just said I have a build date of Jan 9, and it's going to be a MY 22. My Dealer hasn't responded to my question about last week's memo (like, did they get it at all).

And now, the email that I just sent to the sales manager (the person who had been most responsive) bounced - they aren't there anymore. So I've forwarded it to the managing partner, the general sales manager and the general manager. Maybe overkill?
