I was wondering that myself. A salesman from Long Macarthur Ford told me that 450 Mavericks had been ordered through their dealership. I'm in no hurry to get mine because I can use my girlfriend's car and work from home, but I don't really believe their estimate of December or January delivery.
I saw that video and heard him say that they had pre-sold some by June 15 and their allotment was 160 Trucks per month. Production is just starting - let's hope they kick into high gear!

Same for me, I went to the dealership a few weeks back and the salesman told me 8-10 weeks so I believed him (I also believe in Santa Claus)reserved & ordered and now I see I'll be lucky to get it by spring??? Are the dealers that dishonest or that misinformed?
Both

With these current constraints and the previous ones and probable future constraints and the Late Available options I had my salesman modify my order to the bare minimum I need so hopefully I can get my truck built.

Current Order, Bare Minimum: Ford Maverick XLT w/Hybrid in Velocity Blue with Co-Pilot360

Only necessary option for me is the Ford Co-Pilot360 for Safety (and insurance) reasons.

--------

I initially had these options on my original order:

Splash Guards, Molded, Front and Rear
Bedliner – Hard Drop-in
Floor Liners – All-Weather Tray Style Set (includes Carpeted Floor Mats)
Wheel Lock Kit

--------

I previously removed from my order the Splash Guards and the Hard Drop-in Bedliner because they were Late Available options and added in the Bed Mat – Removable to protect the bed.

Now with the Bed Mat – Removable having no National availability I have removed all options that are either unavailable, late available or may become unavailable

Hopefully my truck gets built and then later the optional stuff I want becomes available from Ford Parts or from the aftermarket.

Those will be:

Bed Mat – Removable
Floor Liners – All-Weather Tray Style Set
Splash Guards, Molded, Front and Rear
Wheel Lock Kit

Me too. 02 since July 12th. Not scheduled. Plus, can't make changes once it is at 02 and I have a tonneau cover I would remove to help move things along...
I am not scheduled yet. Order date July 7th. My salesman just called and told me (which I already knew thanks to the forum) that my hard roll up tonneau cover and my spray in bed liner was holding up my order. He said if I instead had them dealer installed that he would call me next week with my build date. XLT, hybrid, trailer hitch, rear manual window, full size spare, truck bed lighting, and 400w inverter. Deleted bed liner and tonneau.

I'm with you on this. I'm retired and golf at least twice a week. Without a lockable tonneau cover I would have no place to put my golf clubs.;). Besides, if I removed that (no guarantee that it would move me up) then one of my other items might delay it. I also have the spray in Bed liner. It's also one of the reasons I went with the XLT so I would be able to lock and unlock the truck bed with my key fob instead of using a key.
I folded! I just got a call from my dealer and said the tonneau and bed liner were holding up my build. He said if I had them dealer installed, he'd call me next week with my build date. So I caved in and said go for it.

The dealer said that Ford has reached its allocation for hybrid builds on the Maverick until 2023. Maybe it was BS, but that’s what he said.
California is the state where the highest number of hybrids are going to followed by Florida and then Texas. He may be correct in saying that but other dealers in California may not have reached their maximum allocation. A friend of mine here in Texas reserved a hybrid today at a high volume dealer.

At least all the items with zero availability can be done in the aftermarket.
Ford is for sure missing out on making extra money here.

NO.. they can not deal with the small quantities here or there this is not a prototyping procedure. Manufacturing at this level requires large quantity access with the ability to deliver those quantities at location on a precise timetable.

I'd love for that to be true. I'd happily drive my maverick around Sacramento as free advertising for Ford if they select my order for build.

I'm thinking I'll cancel my cover. Looking at some websites that sell the BAK Revolver X2 and X4 they say
"
  • Current estimated ship date is September 24th 2021 to October 8th 2022
"

Does Ford get priority? Does it take longer to get because they have to put the Ford logo on them before they ship? I'm actually curious if they're selling the X2 or X4 as an OEM product anyways. I think I'll still buy it later, but might as well take it off for now.

Oem is x2 with the Ford logo stuck inside the slats. I dropped mine and will order an x4 it's an improved x2 with 2 year longer warranty.

i wasnt told what my code number was however i asked to have the spray in liner dropped as that is the only constraint/commodity option but when the sales manager when into the order he said it was locked in as the code was changed to a different priority. which is very similar to what youre saying there. so basically we gotta wait until they have some available for our orders. and who knows when that is. could be a week, a month, 6 months. who knows.
If you are 'locke in' and your priority code has changed(likely 02), then your build, again likely, has been selected. Don't muddy the waters right now would be my suggestion.
