The bed is what I use most on a truck... a very distant second is towing.
Outside of that the primary use for my truck is plain old driving to and from work, store and anything else I'm doing. That is why I chose the Hybrid

If I drove 10K miles a year I would be getting a full size most likely. However i drive about 22K miles a year and have never towed anything so the hybrid is a good fit for me
If you are doing a lot of towing, you need a bigger truck, IMHO.

+1. Difference between 2k and 4k is not really that much if you tow regularly. Both are marginal for anything serious.

It kinda sounds like last year with the 22s same problems with constraints but now on the 23s higher prices and less accessories goodies in the packages . I hope I'm wrong very wrong 🤔
Glad I got a 22. Seems it will become a rare collectors item!!

First time posting, but long time lurker. I ordered a Hybrid, Lariat from Long McArthur. It was a preorder placed months ago when Long McArthur only had 200ish orders.

Tim B. had entered it Friday. Received the Ford email later in the evening. So now I have a stake in this mess and feel more comfortable posting on the site.

Just got a follow up call from Tim this evening, Sunday night. He was confirming if my order was correct due to the new package changes. Anyways, it came up that he still could not order a Tremor for the customers that wanted it - this was at 7:00pm CST.

Also, Long McArthur now has 650 Maverick orders taken. A bit of a concern, but then Ford is supposedly closing the order banks within a few days. So maybe the orders placed can be filled this time, how ever long it takes.

If the engineers at Ford thought they would sell more Ecoboost they are bigger idiots than I thought! Even with all the first year issues folks want that Hybrid.

Not really. There are a lot more travel trailer options for the 4k then the 2k. Of course if you have an unlimited budget I suppose you could find something under 2k that would be a self contained TT.

I just configured my 2022 built on a 2023. Lariat Hybrid, Lux Package 360/plus assist, remote start, bed liner, plus destination.

The difference in price from 2022 to 2023 $3,265.00 more.

2022 - $30,865.00
2023 - $34.130.00

This is corrected from my original post, I missed the destination fee and bed liner. Thanks Droid82 :) Good Catch!

I have to wonder if it's better to have an order in at a smaller dealer that got all of their 22 orders built - or be one of 650 at a place that had 80-100 22s that never got built. Just a genuine thinking out loud.

Yeah, I did a small dealer and from what I understand they had all their 2022's built. I don't know how many orders they had total, but they are MSRP all the way. Great to deal with. These larger dealers will naturally get more allocations, but not enough to cover all those large quantity of orders.

Those both sound like good options to me. Both dealers are delivering a lot of trucks, so they appear to know what it takes!

I agree. I got the 4K specifically because it allows me to pull a smaller utility trailer with gear that would be more than what the 2K limit would allow but below the 4K limit. You would be surprised how many loaded trailers fit right into that category. If I needed to pull a bigger trailer, I wouldn't be looking at a Maverick.
