That’s insane to close the orders that fast, although how they didnt see the demand coming is odd.
How high could demand have been after 1 day 20k, 30k?
If they plan on building 100000 units and 50000 are left over from MY22 then only 50000 orders will be accepted and that would explain 4 to 5 days open period. Any orders the dealers place will probably be XL Models or Ecoboost models.

No, not correct. They will need to accept 100,000 orders since the 50,000 MY22 orders also have to be re-entered from scratch as well. There seems to be nothing in the Ford Corporate system that differentiates a brand new, first-time MY23 order and one from someone that has been waiting for over a year. As such, it is completly plausible that someone that first heard about the Maverick a month ago may be driving theirs come February but someone with EXACTLY the same order (but from a dealer with lower allocation) that has been waiting year already may never get their MY23 re-order.

Since they are explicitly saying there is going to be no 23 to 24 transition offer, would the 22 to 23 offer ($1750 for ecoboost) still be good if your rollover gets pushed another year? I’m afraid this might happen with build priority being left up to dealers instead of Ford prioritizing the rollover orders.
My understanding is NO. The private offer amounts will NOT be able to be applied to 2024 Mavericks.

So, It is 7 pm EST Sunday September 18. Day four of the Maverick open order window. I am not seeing the option to build a 2023 Maverick now.
Am I doing something wrong? AT Ford.com I only see an option to build a 2022 which is no help.

@JakRussll The Builder on Ford's website won't go live for a couple more weeks (hopefully)

Call or visit your dealer you plan to order from in the next day or two because Ford is closing the order banks mid next week. If need be just order something close to what you want. after the order goes though you can change the details

I was just using that number due to the post I was responding to. That being said, 50k could easily be in the ballpark. Based on the running total here on MTC, there are some September, lots of October (I was an Oct 1 order), and most of November Hybrid Orders that never got produced. Per Tim and others, Sept was a slow month for orders but quickly ramped back up in October and Novemeber. Similarly, many November-January Ecos never got a VIN. Lot of early speculation that there was something along the lines of 150k-200k MY22 orders of which something like 115k got produced (based on the VIN numbers I have seen). It would be safe to bet at least 20k never got built and I would guess that it is probably north of 30k. However, Ford never released these numbers so all we can do is speculate based on the "hive" information posted here.

No. You’re not. It won’t be ready before they close the order banks (yes I know this is counterintuitive). Just build what you want and add about $2kish for the ‘23 price. Your dealer will give you the ‘23 cost when you call or email it in.

**Thank you.** I would have sworn that I saw the '23 option a couple of days ago. Working with a dealer now to get one in on Monday. Just wanted to review the options.

No problem

Look at the sticky thread at the top of the page. there are three threads that go over the price/details of the MY23

Good luck and make sure you get your order in!! (y)

Maybe.

The F150 started 2023 orders in July and there is still no 2023 build and price up. I know Ford said October for the Maverick but they say a lot of things. It doesn't really matter when it comes up because it won't be possible to order one anyway.

At least people will be able to use the 2023 tool to guess about what might be available for their 2024 order.

There is a thread with both the order guide and price list on it so you can make your build and see what it costs for the most part. If you are getting an XLT or Lariat Lux package, they have broken out several items as stand alone this year.

They do seem to be closing the retail order bank really quickly.. I find it hard to believe they could possibly have received more orders in a few days than they can build. They must be planning to allow for quite a bit of dealer stock.

Now whether or not that means less markup is not clear. I suspect it will not.
dealers were taking pre-orders for quite a while - months - then when the banks opened they input them after whatever changes (if any)the buyer needed to make due to package changes for '23.
