My MPG still blows (Lariat, AWD, 4K Towing package). At least 60% highway (maybe 70-80%) at average 70 mph on the highway, and averaging 22-23.5 mpg for the last 7 fill ups going back to mid January.
My MPG never improved. Last tank of gas was 20.5 MPG.
I have an F150 Lightning on order, and never really liked this vehicle. Trading it in tomorrow for a vehicle for my wife. Would never buy one of these again with an Ecoboost engine.

When I see posts like yours, I can't understand why the terrible fuel economy. It's so completely different from what we're experiencing. This 6.3 liter/100 kms was at steady state 60 mph, maybe a tad faster. That's 37.3 US mpg.

And we usually see around 8 to 8.5 combined. We've had the truck 10 months and the fuel economy has consistently impressed, routinely beating the published EPA figures.

Edit... last tank 7.4 indicated was 7.8 liters/100 kms actual, and that's combined city/hwy. That's 36 mpg Imp, 30 US mpg. For combined - here in Canada the 2.0 eB 4K tow package is rated 8.1 hwy & 9.6 combined.

How many psi are your tires? Mine were about 32-33 cold and I was averaging 25.6 mpg. Door chart says 35 cold for back and front. Bumped it up to 35 cold (37 or 38 with high temps outside and fully warm tires) and now up to 26.7 mpg. All hand calculated. Mixed driving highway and city. I've noticed my EB coasts really well. It took a while for me to get used to it as I was breaking hard into a stop. Literally, on a flat road, you can take your foot off the gas at 45 mph and coast up to a red light about 1/4 mile away without losing much speed. This helps with mpg (saved brakes too) and so does timing lights by not coming to a full stop. I do this all the time except when traffic will not allow without ticking off other drivers😵💫

A lot of times, I drive like a hypermiling grandmother. No help.
Tried the regular, eco and sport settings. No help.
Tried auto stop off and on. No help.
Granted, on the last tank of fuel, it was mostly around town mileage with a lot of short runs of 5 miles or less- that was the all time worst.
Getting rid of the Maverick is more of a practical matter than anything about the mpg or the vehicle, but I will not miss it.

Well, this is weird. The App says 42 front and 41 rear. I just noticed the App suggests 35 psi front and rear. I never put air in the tires, and I have no idea why my tires are at that psi--the air in the tires is what it is/was when I picked the vehicle up in December.

I've been averaging approx 26.5-27. Lariat AWD with 4K tow. I just put on some LTX M/S tires and getting the same on the highway. Had a trip this weekend where I found some Ethanol Free fuel. Filled up half a tank of 87 and drove home. 95% highway. Was able to eek out almost 32 MPG with the better fuel, vs 27 on the way there. Goes to show how much ethanol kills MPG.

2.0 first edition, 187 mile ride today. 50 percent 70mph interstate, 15 percent city and 35 percent two lane 45/55mph thru Pa. hills and mountains....29.7 avg mog
We are at altitude in Utah of4500 ft. Getting combined 28, in town 22, on the highway only 34 depending on wind. Our legal speed in some areas is 85, so that kills the mileage.

After 6K+ miles, my average MPG to date on an EB2.0 is 27.4.

Low on a single trip (all local roads with stop lights) was about 21
High was 39.3. (2-lane state road with no stop signs and 50 MPH speed for about 15 miles).

I have just finished tracking my fuel economy and after my first 1,000 km of driving my economy improved suddenly. I started at 9.8 litres per 100 km and am now between 7 and 8.4 l/100 km. AWESOME!! That’s a 2.0 ecoboost with 4k tow package Lariat. I concur…

Each area of country might have different gasoline formulations, which impact fuel density. The denser or heavier the fuel has more BTU content, which is energy content per pound of fuel. Different formulations have different weight per gallon. Hard to make comparisons on mpg unless its the same fuel or same region in US. Summer grade gasoline in metro areas is typically heavier and will give you higher mpg than winter grades.

The trip computer is not always accurate. When you purchase gas take the miles driven / gallons purchased. This is more accurate than the computer. I have a different car with this feature and it is close but always shows better performance than the manual math. It really doesn’t mean much to me because I did not buy the 2.0 for gas mileage. I bought it for a fun truck to throw my luggage in on trips. MPG not important until the low fuel light goes on.

My high point was getting almost 32 mpg on a long highway trip. I do a lot of stop and go driving locally - 90% local stop and go and have been averaging under 20 mpg. Early on it was under 15. It seems to be slowly improving but not significantly. Right now I have about 1500 miles or so. I think AWD/4k hurts it a bit. Running A/C definitely hurts and it's been on almost continuously. Doing over about 65 hurts and doing over 80 hurts a lot.

The fuel economy screen really helps tune your driving style and i use that all the time. I didn't get this as an economy vehicle so the mileage doesn't bother me. If mileage is an issue buy a hybrid.

I would guess that FWD could help quite a bit.

Am a little disappointed with the local mileage, my last 2 fill ups with my XLT AWD FX4 4K tow lux has been 15/18 local driving only, I only have 2600 miles and drive like a old man because I am, BUT I have gotten 34/36 highway if you keep it just under 2000rpm around 69mph. It should improve after breaking in, I hope. Taking it in for a oil change at 3000.

Still getting 27-28 mpg in my FWD EB. Personal best on a full tank has been 32, worst has been 26. (Hand calculated)

I turned over 10,000 miles on Tuesday morning. Since owning the vehicle the on-board computer says 29 mpg.
