I believe I have the Truxedo Prox15 as well. I have it on my Ram with 8' bed. Works great with the 5th wheel because I can roll it out of the way when towing. Got one for the Maverick and I like how it looks and functions. My only complaint is the lack of security. I don't keep much in the...
I have a magnet mount in the cubby to hold my phone. I actually prefer it up there. The larger screen in the Escape doesn't provide more screen on Android Auto. I think it's still a split screen with useless info on the on the right side.
It was a new entry into the truck market. Everyone wants big and bigger. To appeal to the masses the pricing had to be the reason people would buy the truck. And it was. There's really no other vehicle on the market that will give you as many features as the Maverick for the same price. I...
I could had sworn I pushed those buttons before and nothing happened. I tried yesterday and not only does that speaker looking button work, the screen off button on the other side works as well. I feel like a doofus. Maybe if Ford would label the buttons I would know what they did.
I can't for the life of me figure out how to get to FM radio from Android Auto? Sometimes Pandora starts playing and I want to listen to FM. What am I missing? It seems like once AA is running I can't get back to the factory radio screen to choose FM.
I put Michelin LTXs on and it helped some of the tire noise. Overall the truck isn't too bad. We've done some 3 hour drives and it wasn't unbearable. My Ram 3500 is dead silent inside, even towing 18K lbs. But, that's a $90K+ truck too.
Some pictures. I feel that 235 width probably would had been fine. I haven't noticed any difference in MPG or power surprisingly. I have not been hotrodding it though.
I will get some. As soon as I got them on it rained for 2 days so truck is an ugly mess. One thing I notice is I need mud flaps now. It's going to be a mess come winter time otherwise. Tires poke enough past the fender that it sprays all over the bumper now.
I've been averaging approx 26.5-27. Lariat AWD with 4K tow. I just put on some LTX M/S tires and getting the same on the highway. Had a trip this weekend where I found some Ethanol Free fuel. Filled up half a tank of 87 and drove home. 95% highway. Was able to eek out almost 32 MPG with...
After much deliberation, I decided to go with the Michelin LTX M/S in 245/60-18
They are very quiet and I haven't noticed much MPG difference over OEM yet. Maybe .2 at most. They don't look as cool as a beefier A/T tire, but they are OK for the Maverick.
So I am leaning towards the Wildpeaks. Just need to decide if I want the 225s or 235s. The weight is the big concern for MPGs. What's everyones thoughts? Both options are wider than OEM (tread contact) by over an inch. Adding 24 lbs vs 40 lbs rotational weight.
I should note the extra...
I am leaning towards the Yokohamas or Wildpeak Trails. Tests put the Yokos ahead in snow/pavement driving and the Wildpeak better offroad. Real world reviews on Tirerack rate the the Wildpeaks better overall though. The Yoko reviews are all over the place. I bought some Wildpeaks for a car...
Yea it's too bad they don't make a KO2 that fit. Those BFGs look like hogs if they really weight 38lb a piece. That's 52 lbs extra rotating. That is equivalent to carrying an extra 500 lbs in the bed. I am leaning towards the Firestones as a result. But the those Goodyears look pretty beefy...
I made a list of decent AT tires available in this size. What's everyone's thoughts? The OEM 18s look pretty lame and are a little noisy at speed.
I See GY and BFG both have a new "light" looking AT Tire out. The TOYOS looks pretty sweet, but they are heavy and no specials on them at the...
