That's exactly what it is. Basically like any other store that won't provide a price match if the item goes on sale later. The 3% or 4% off invoice, or even $3,000 off MSRP, that's all the price the dealer chooses to sell it to you for. Once Ford sells it to the dealer, they have no input in what the dealer charges, with limited exceptions.

The respectful thing would've been to honor the higher discount in your case, but they're under no obligation. Plus they'd rather you put in a second order so they get more inventory to sell with ADM...
Have you ordered from them? They provide a DORA with pricing that you sign.
The price doesn’t actually go up for Horsham as the dealership gets the price protection from Ford.

Nope, nor do I claim to have done so. Some have claimed the 3-4% under invoice was from the original invoice pricing, others claim to have been refused price protection. Apparently, YMMV.

That’s the issue. At the time of ordering and signing the DORA, with the pricing listed, it didn’t have a disclaimer stating they were pocketing the price protection.
I didn’t have any issues with my Horsham Maverick order, but I’ve since ordered an Escape PHEV with them and they’ve added language to their emails including the policy change.
Those quoted a price on the DORA, not just an actual percentage off invoice, should be honored without having to haggle.

Yep. Ford offers price protection on retail orders to allow for the dealer and customer to agree on pricing in advance. In doing so, Ford forfeits the price increases they would've charged the dealer on an order for dealer stock. The intent isn't that the dealer makes more money by paying the original price but charging the new, higher price. It's so that everyone agrees to pricing upfront, everyone is on the same page, everyone is happy. Unfortunately, Ford can't force dealers to actually commit, but the better ones will. Hopefully it works out for everyone on this thread.

You funny. I ordered from them. My actual cost was $800 more than DORA. I signed they did not. It was from Chapman-Horsham. From the forum, it appears Chapman-Philadelphia has principles and actually honors the DORA/

Did the Chat today with Ford and still no VIN but when I asked about my priority code they said I was a 2. Last time I checked my PC (a few weeks ago) I was a 15. I just might make the cutoff.

Reached out to the Horsham sales team today and they are down to 38 unscheduled hybrids and 64 unscheduled Ecoboosts. I can't access the Ford chat here at work but might try when I get home just to see if my priority changed (I too was previously at 15).

As I noted a couple weeks back in this thread, at that time there were 10 orders with Priority 14 or better (so ahead of me), and then another 26 plus me at Priority 15. So even if the 8 that got scheduled for the August allocations were all in that "ahead of me" group, there are still at least 2 more, plus the 26 others who were (again, at that time) at the same priority as me.

Ford Tracker is now showing my Maverick in production though Ford said it would start next week (maybe that's normal?). Also have the window sticker so I can see what Chapman / Horsham is actually going to charge me minus the 4%...............
I hope to get lucky and actually get price protection as Ford intends; looks to be about a $1200 difference.

I did
My price was EXACTLY what they said except for the fuel surcharage and that’s a completely independent cost that neither Ford or the dealer can control. Chapman Horsham did me right from start to finish

Contacted chat tonight and mine is priority 2 as well, “unscheduled clean”. Definitely an improvement over 15, but I still think I hear the big lady singin’…

Baby step forward, two steps back…

No Mav scheduling week of 9/5 - MY23 scheduling begins 9/29

Congrats to all those who got production dates!

#teamMY23
Dude, that sucks!! You ordered way back in October and are getting zippo. I ordered two days before 22 orders were cut off and I'm getting a truck.

If there were any justice in the world this would not be. I hope there are some nice upgrades for 23 and you are scheduled ASAP. Maybe you'll actually end up getting one this winter.

BTW, where did you get your info regarding scheduling?
