Interesting for several reasons. First off, their website fairly recently had a 3% (or was it 4%?) under invoice popup for several weeks for MY23. I guess they got enough "pre-orders" at those terms and decided to scale back the discount.

Also interesting because this says both "1% savings off MSRP" and "1% savings under invoice". Typically MSRP is higher than the invoice amount (or the dealership would ostensibly make no money on the sale, although we all know that the invoice amount is likely higher than what the dealer actually pays Ford).

Better than $10K ADM.
Well, sure. But $5K ADM is better than $10K ADM too.

Point is, a 1% discount is $10 per $1,000. On a truck with a $30,000 invoice, you're looking at $300. Is that enough money to keep you away from a local dealer offering the same vehicle at MSRP, assuming you have significant travel costs associated with getting to Chapman to pick up your vehicle?

Exactly. I know they mentioned before they would honor the 3% for 2023 and hope they still keep to that. Getting a Lariat the difference below invoice is more noticeable and I save about $2,500-3,000. Being down in Florida, I need that to make the trip worth it. Otherwise I just stay with my local dealer at X-Plan.

This is emblematic of Horsham, IMO. They originally modified their MY22 post at 3% under invoice on here, but now it’s 1% off invoice.. or MSRP.. or something, but don’t ask because they’re not going to tell you anyway.

They suck.

Yeah, when I ordered from them the 4% below invoice had ended a few weeks before so I got 3% below. Then about two weeks after I ordered, they brought the 4% below back again and I asked to get the 4% and they said that I would have to put a new order in and would reset my order date. I left it alone, but pretty sure it is BS as I believe the 3% and 4% below is an internal Chapman thing and had nothing to do with my Ford order.

That's exactly what it is. Basically like any other store that won't provide a price match if the item goes on sale later. The 3% or 4% off invoice, or even $3,000 off MSRP, that's all the price the dealer chooses to sell it to you for. Once Ford sells it to the dealer, they have no input in what the dealer charges, with limited exceptions.

The respectful thing would've been to honor the higher discount in your case, but they're under no obligation. Plus they'd rather you put in a second order so they get more inventory to sell with ADM...

Yeah, its just BS about putting an order in. Just tell me, the price is already agreed. Fine. I'm to see what the private offer is and whether its worth it to re-order a 23. The main reason I want a 23 at the moment is for the Atlas Blue. If they offer the black Lariat interior as an option outside of the Tremor package then its a done deal.

Wow so is it really only 1% under invoice now?

If so I don't know if I'm going to order from them :(

You are correct, I think, it's Chapman anyway. I don't think they know what they think. I did get a good deal, but it was 4% under final invoice.

I cannot recommend ordering from them. Even doing service, they left a screw off my engine cover (after holes made)
